I have several pieces of 12v equipment and I hate to have to drive the car to or run an extension cord for a battery charger to start something with a failed battery. There are so many different types of jump starters like this one on the market. It's hard to choose. The Wagan seemed to be the best value for the money spent. The built in light is a nice touch. I think it was worth the money.

This product has the best in class air compressor and works jump after jump. I believe this specific manufacturer built this to last and i like the durability of the clamps/cables, which you will appreciate if you are at all concerned about getting a shock. I highly recommend this specific product.

I haven't used the jump starter yet, the air pump is small and slow but works ok, the air gauge is off a bit.

We have a bad habit of not making sure the door is closed properly and we frequently come out to the car to find the battery dead. This jump-starter works like a champ! Ours did arrive with a charge and we mistakenly thought it was ready-to-go straight from the box. Not so, Kemo Sabe. Charge it for 24 hours just like the pretty manual tells you. One thing to note...the manual walks you through how to hook it up to your battery and states to "see step number 7;" but get this; there is no #7. Ha!

I like the additional features on the box, too - the air compressor and the light make it a great item to take camping. I'm very pleased with the decision to buy this item.
