It does what it says and works just fine.

The fan makes a lot of noise but barely moves any air. On an airplane you won't notice it but in a car you will definitely hear it.

The fan speed is opposite of what I expected. When there was no load the fan speed is high. When I ran my laptop off of it the fan speed dropped. Unplug the laptop and the fan speed went up again. That doesn't make any sense to me.

This functions as stated, but the fan is annoying, even if I put the thing inside my console, it sounds like a jet aircraft taking off. The tiny 1" fan puts out a VERY loud, very high-pitched whine that drills to the center of your skull.

The purchase to arrival part of the transaction was great! I was amazed at how small the inverter was, yet how quite it was no matter how long it was on. I have had no issues charging my Mac Book Pro laptop, iPod, iPhone, and iPad and it has worked every time and been quite. This model has a fan, exhaust hole on the side that allows the unit to keep from over heating. Would highly recommend as the price was a third of a model I bought locally which ended up sounding like a weed wackier as soon as I turned it on.

Used for an hour to run run laptop with no problems. I bought this unit over the Smart AC 120 because of the built in cooling fan. The unit got warm to the touch which is normal. Unit is small enough to fit into computer bag very well.

This product can be used in airplanes or cars. Airplane use is limited unless you fly in business or first class frequently, but I have used it when I find an outlet. Newer airplanes are beginning to have regular 110 outlets at the seats so this won't be necessary some day. My most frequent use is in the car for charging various electronics or using my computer in the car. It makes a bit of noise and gets hot when in operation, but it works great. It's small and easy to pack in your carry-on. The USB connection is handy, too. I can charge my phone and my computer at the same time.

So far I found this inverter to go just what it says it will do and that is to power up your electronics on the go. I recently bought it for my trip to Florida-Orlando. We were flying so I wanted to use my new laptop and needed something to keep it powered up on the plane. Unfortunately for me I did not check out the web site for tips on how to use it. I did not understand how I was going to do this since there was no adapter for the laptop, (there is an adapter for the Airplane, I just did not know how to attah my laptop to the inverter) but I did hook up my ipod. But when i got home I looked at the website and saw that the two holes on the inverter is where the normal plug(A/C) goes. So I now know. That was my fault. It also comes with an adapter for the car so on my next trip I will get to use it properly. It can be a big help with all the electronic junk needed to entertain the kids. I recommend this highly to all travelers with kids or who are kids at heart.

this has enough juice to power my laptop and is small and practical. I haven't had any problems as of yet...

The Wagan Smart AC 150 USB Power Converter ordered through Amazon arrived much quicker than promised.
This device, however, fails to provide clean enough power for my Toshiba laptop. If I place my APC Back-UPS between the Converter and my Toshiba, and use only the surge protected outlets, I can power the laptop. I would not recommend this product.

The Smart AC 150 works great with everything but my laptop on airplanes. It is not what I expected. The reviews I read rated it high on commercial aircraft.
