First of all, I'd like to say that I've been a Nasty Savage fan since the epic release of "Indulgence". I loved that release, and have since purchaced everything released.....
There is simply no other Metal band that sounds like Nasty Savage, and they have always stayed true to their roots. These guys were/are one of the true pioneers of the Death Metal scene in Tampa Bay. They aren't really classified as Death Metal IMO, and there is really no way to label this band. Their sound is unique in every sense of the word.... This latest release is decent, but you can tell that the times may have finally caught up with the Nasty boys here. "Wage Of Mayhem" the song, isn't all that great. It's just not the awesome Nasty Savage of the past. It's alright, but I was expecting something better.... "Wage Of Mayhem" the release, is very impressive however. It's got tons of old tunes, and also contains the epic "Witches Sabbath", {which I think is worth the price alone}. It also contains Remakes/Demos of old classics like "XXX" and various others from "Indulgence" which makes this release quite rare, and a very good collectors item. This is really for Nasty Savage fanatics only. If you're just getting into Death Metal, and you'd like to hear Nasty Savage, I'd buy "Indulgence" first...

Just to think after all those years and the demo tape that could never be found not even on ebay, just one day pops up on a new cd from Nasty Savage, and not to stop there 2 new songs.
It took a indi label and the band to make this happen. I again got with the band and did lyrics and artwork. Spent a few months on the project and feel it was a great cd for the fans. Long live Nasty Savage and the fans that support them.

I'm so happy to have the demo songs readily available now!! Witches Sabbath is just an incredible tune. Sure, these songs are a bit raw, but they rip, especially being on a demo from '83! The 2 new songs are good, but I mainly bought this for the demo. If you haven't checked out Psycho Psycho yet, I urge you to do so. It's a delicious feast of metal!

I'm a huge Nasty fan, so when I saw this, I bought it immediately. Not that it was a mistake, but it certainly isn't the masterpiece I expected it to be....
The song "Wage Of Mayhem" is kind of weak for Nasty standards IMO. It's not bad, but it's just not the same force that Nasty Savage laid out on "Indulgence" or "Penetration Point". Age may finally be catching up to Nasty Ronnie and the crew.... However, the thing I really like about this release are the demos. They are fun to listen to in their uncut stages, and have an old school feel to them as a result. The song "Witches Sabbath" is incredible, and it makes this release worth purchacing if your a collector of anything Nasty Savage has released.... That's basically what I would consider this. A collector's item, with a 3 1/2 star rating....

This doesn't top Indulgence and Abstract Reality but it is far better than the self-titled album. I liked the different versions of XXX and Unchained Angel. The Witches Sabbath was the standout song here with slight Mercyful Fate style vocals that Nasty Ronnie sometimes puts into the songs. My only complaint is too few songs but I believe these are from a demo which usually don't have many songs.
