About the Author

Tim Link is president and CEO of Link's Wagging Tales, Inc. and is a practicing animal communicator and Reiki energy healer for animals. He is a featured expert on the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's ACJpets.com website and volunteers as the president of a no-kill shelter.

More About the Author

Tim Link is an author, writer, speaker, nationally syndicated radio show host, president and CEO of Wagging Tales and is a full-time animal communicator. As part of his passion for helping animals, Tim also has mastered Reiki - an ancient art of energy healing - which he uses on animals.

Tim has recently been featured in numerous newspaper, television and radio shows including the Associated Press, "FOX & Friends", "The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet," "Better Mornings Atlanta", "Good Day Atlanta," Forsyth County News, Atlanta Magazine, Gwinnett Daily Post, The Bronx Times, Species Link, "Live Your Legacy", Luxury Las Vegas, Woman2Woman, "Everyday with Marcus & Lisa", Detroit Free Press, "Good Day Columbus", "Good Morning Texas", "Colorado & Company", "Good Day Colorado", Shirley MacLaine's "Independent Expression" internet radio show, Pet Gazette, "San Diego Living", Aquarius, "Mornings with Lorri and Larry", "Sonoran Living", "The Pat McMahon Show", Palladium-Item, "Arizona Midday", Tails, "Tennessee Mornings", "More at Midday", Animal Fair, DogSport, Gaithersburg Gazette, "WUSA News", and "WCBS News".

Tim grew up in Richmond, Ind. He married his high school sweetheart, Kim, and graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in sales and marketing. After graduation, he built a successful twenty plus year career in sales management for the telecommunications industry, earning numerous awards and promotions for his achievements. He was living his dream as an all-American guy.

In February 2004, Tim learned (with great surprise) that he could communicate telepathically with animals. Until then, he had no idea that he had this ability. Initially, Tim never intended to let many people know about his newfound gift. He practiced with his own pets and those of his family and close friends as well as those boarded at the local rescue shelter. As he continued to practice on more and more animals, he noticed his gift was getting stronger.

Since his gift continued to expand and could not be ignored, he decided to embrace this new way of helping animals. Tim officially formed Wagging Tales in November 2007 to communicate with animals and their owners, and to perform Reiki energy healing on pets.

Tim's book, Wagging Tales: Every Animal Has a Tale, includes 32 stories about animals that he has helped through his gift as an animal communicator as well as 24 helpful tips that you can implement with your animals. Tim volunteered as the past president of the Humane Society of Forsyth County - a no-kill shelter - and participated on the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's pet expert panel. He enjoys spending time at home with his wife and their many pets in Cumming, Georgia.

After hearing the author of this book on National Public Radio, and being animal lovers and foster parents for rescued dogs, we ordered the book. We hoped it would help us better understand some of the dogs we foster who have had unfortunate pasts. The book was very disappointing. It was very simplistically written, and every chapter relating a "communication" with a dog or cat seemed just like the one before. Nothing extraordinary or unique. Neither my husband nor I finished the book. We were both disappointed!

I've had the pleasure of having Tim "read" my two dogs. The reading was spot-on! Tim is a very talented animal communicator and author.

I highly recommend this book!

What a fine book. Every story is intriguing, written with clarity and honesty. From the first page I found it impossible to put Wagging Tales down, not only for the clarity of writing style (which I always appreciate), but also for the author's unbiased view of animals- from their perspective. Tim Link is, quite obviously, a skilled animal communicator, a rare gift. I have sheltered and care for animals for over 30 years and can say with confidence that Tim Link's ability is authentic. The book itself is nicely designed - hardbound in a smaller format with clear photographs and good-sized print. It is a book that will stand up well to many readings! Wagging Tales is also just plain enjoyable, a great gift to give yourself and your friends.

Starting with the title page, we know exactly what this collection of tales is about: `Conversations with Our Animal Friends'. And conversations are what these tales are, as Tim Link, a renowned animal behaviorist, actually talks with animals, finding out exactly what is troubling them. They also talk back - not quite in the same way as does Dr. Dolittle's menagerie, as these are all true tales, but in a way that is laced (pawmarked?) with meaning.

Each of the more than thirty tales in Wagging Tales relates Tim's encounter with one or more animals, ranging from the more usual cats and dogs to a far from conventional praying mantis. Developed over the space of forty years, Tim's telepathic insights into the different animals that people this work are based on his keen and careful observation of the way in which they behave.

Although we are told that the pictures of animals that precede all of the tales are not necessarily of the actual animals with which the author worked, illustrating the book in this way brings the collection alive. Wagging Tales is filled with the essence of the animals with which Tim has heartfelt discussions about images, smells, tastes, words or feelings that bother them - his role as mediator between owner and pet is pivotal to the text.

Wagging Tales should appeal to all caring youngsters, as well as make relaxing reading for all animal lovers. Tim punctuates the tales with some sage advice on how to look after animals as well. His kindness towards animals radiates throughout the tales, warming the spirit of the text. Written to elicit a generous and loving approach towards all animals, this book should find a welcome home on every child's nightstand.

Being a hardcore 'animal person', I was naturally skeptical of person who claims he can communicate with our furry friends. But after reading this book, I'm a firm believer! The fact that Mr. Link didn't discover he had this 'gift' until relatively late in life attests to the fact that it was as much a surprise to him as it was to his friends - and not a fraud. And also, the fact he gets short, concise messages from dogs and cats - not long diatribes discussing the human/ animal condition - makes it all the more believable. Just the fact he asks to talk to the animals shows his deep respect for our dogs and cats. Although most of his gift is used to locate lost animals, he also shows his compassion in dealing with owners who just want to know what they can do to enrich and improve their pets' lives. You may never need his services but the tales he relates will make a believer out of you - and also give you some nice insights into the 'pet' world.

"Wagging Tales" is a compilation of stories that tell of the pets that Tim Link has communicated with. One story in particular tells of a pet's owner asking her vet to do some tests with her pet. Tim had spoken to the animal and relayed the information to the owner, who in turned notified her vet. The pet had shown no signs of being ill, yet the tests came back positive and the illness was caught in time.
Does Tim Link talk to pets? Well, just because I can't doesn't mean he can't. I'd love to have the ability to talk to my pets, I have many questions that need answering. Read "Wagging Tales" and decide for yourself!

Tim Link has a special gift of the ability to communicate with animals of all species. This book includes several interesting stories of lost dogs, lost cats, shelter animals who are struggling with their situations and the multiple pet homes that struggle with, shall I say, sibling rivalry.

If you're looking for an inside look at what those animals who live with you are REALLY thinking about, read Wagging Tales. Rather than explaining how you can speak to your animals, you'll find suggestions on how animals communicate.

I'm looking forward to Tim's next book to see what he comes up with. Also, the pictures of each of the animals in this book are terrific!
