These Paint Eater discs are by far the fastest and easiest way to remove paint that I have ever used. I took the disk and modified it to fit on my 4 1/2" makita grinder and it really works fast! Highly recommended!

Beats Scraping by Hand!,

This product isn't perfect. If you're painting a very large house you're going to burn through several of these pads, so they do get a little expensive, but you get much better results than just scraping. Scraping leaves a lot of harsh edges, where the paint eater allows you to 'feather' the edges. If you're skeptical, run this test... scrape a section of the siding as you normally would, and then hit it with the paint eater and you'll find that it takes a lot more off than just scraping alone. I DO scrape first and knock the really loose paint off, then I go over everything with the paint eater, getting more paint off and feathering all of the edges. On an average sized house, you're going to need 2 or 3 pads for each side of your house. You must wear goggles and a good dust mask... this thing can really make a mess!

Power stripping an old truck,

Excellent product. I bought it to strip the paint off an old truck that I'm restoring and it works great. Takes paint and rust off but leaves the metal. It also seems to be pretty tough. I thought it might break down when it hit metal edges but seems to hold up well.
