I have tried other Chinese($9.99) clippers which actually didn't work. Returned them and I then got the Wahl Chrome model and made a quick pass, expecting some resistance. There was none. Oops. It cut so smooth, I accidentally shaved part of my scalp.(Frackin A) Had to finish the whole process to the same length. Point being. It was like a hot knife through butter, and poof! No hair. Works great. Would recommend. But don't be retarded with it like me.

Not as loud as some reviews indicate. Cuts well (few pulls). Easy to use lots of options for clipper lengths.
I had a different make clipper with a ceramic blade, this cuts much better.
Excellent unit definitely worth the money (the boys give it a thumbs up).

After I received my 'Wahl 79524-2501 Chrome Pro 24-Piece Haircut Kit' from Amazon.com , I proceded to try it on myself and found I could trim my eyebrows , sideburns and the hair on each side of my head using the attachments provided with the kit. Using different attachments , I had my daughter trim the back and top for a complete haircut . It was amazing how easy it was to accomplish. It's a great haircut kit and I would recommend it to everyone to try.
P.S. And the price will also fit any budgit. .... B.H.

Ok, I was a little nervous at first, since I've never cut my own hair. But, I've always said I've watched them cut my hair enough times I know I could do it if I could take my head off. Since that is not the best idea in the world. The Wahl cutter is the next best thing. READ the instructions. Most males do not. I am male. Therefore I did not. Almost disaster, but not quite. Remember to come from the back of the head and move forward. My hair is split down the middle and if cut too short will tend to spike. At first after I did the back I moved to the front and went at it with a forward motion, wrong! It cut too close. Thought I was going to end up with a reverse mohawk. Not in my plans. So, read the manual a little more. Went from the back forward throughout the whole cut and after putting some styling mousse through my hair I was amazed at how well my first cut turned out. I knew that in about 2 or 3 weeks if cut evenly will grow back uniformly which it is doing nicely. Would highly recommend this product. I think before I ordered this that some people complained of it being noisy. It's not any more noisy than the ones they use in the hair salons. One more cut and it will have paid for itself.

The Wahl Chrome Pro 24-piece Haircut Kit not only pays for itself in just a few trims, it saves the time and money spent traveling to and waiting at the barber shop. It can be used when it's convenient for you and your family. Well worth the money.

After some research on google, i was convinced that a human clipper and a pet clipper are basically the same so instead of shelling out an additional $30 (minimum) for a clipper labelled for pets, I decided to get this one. Well, I was not disappointed...but i was also being realistic with my expectation. First and foremost, this clipper did not overheat...at least it did not during the first 1.5 hours of continual use...after this duration..it started warming up but was still manageable... I have a pekingese and i used the 3/4" attachment. This does not mean that any fur longer than 3/4" will be cut...it simply means that fur will not be cut shorter than 3/4". You have to move slowly the clipper thru the fur...everytime, it will catch a bit and you will slowly and gradually trim the fur. In fact you don't want to go too fast or try and get too much of the fur coz that will clog up the blade. It was really not a bad set of clippers and if ONLY my furbaby would cooperate he would look less like an escapee from a mental hospital and more like a little prince! If you pet is well behaved, you can give this a try..and also try and cut outside or the backyard coz cleanup was another big hassle.

I bought this haircut set for my personal use. It is great, very convenient to use . The chrome hair clipper is powerful and that's why I prefer the power supply clipper compared to the cordless one. The set is full and addressed all your need to operate at home. It is recommended to buy this set with a reasonable price. I'm looking to buy one more set at 220V for my parents.

The guide combs are cheap and don't stay in place very well. Any pressure causes them to move and bend while cutting. Hair has been different lengths every time.

I know very little about being a professional hair stylist, so whether or not this is a "pro" set I couldn't tell you. I do how ever cut my own hair and keep it pretty short and this set does exactly what I. Clean cut, reliable and more than enough settings. Plus it costs about as much as one hair cut at a cheap salon and was about $14 cheaper than the comparable model at Target so you can't really lose. Great for clean up the back or your hair and sideburns.

Don't get me wrong, the product is great and does everything you'd expect. There is however one thing that lets this product down.
The other day I was trimming my hair outside to avoid getting hair inside when my neighbor popped his head over the fence to see what brand of water blaster I had purchased.
These puppies ARE THAT LOUD! This is the sort of item you would bring out at a party when tall stories were being exchanged. You could go grab them and say "You're not going to believe this, but check it out!"
If you had kids who hated getting their hair cut and yell and scream while you do it, get these suckers, you wouldn't be able to hear them above the noise.
I'm recommending you buy these just to see how loud they actually are.
