I was looking for a home hair cutting set for my son-in-law. He had bad luck choosing one that would last. I had always had a Wahl clipper (still do) to cut my family's hair. I chose this one because it was a complete barber kit, not just a clipper. It has a trimmer as well as attachment for nose and ears. The many heads it comes with allows a very custom hair cut, easily fading-in between the various lengths.It also has a storage bag so you don't lose all the combs. Wahl is a dependable brand and I have trusted it for years.

The clippers and trimmers look like they have metal casing, but it's really reflective plastic. Bogus. The scissors are CRAP! I have my own high quality hair cutting scissors I used. The combs were useful, the barber cape was much needed. The package does not tell you which guide combs it has. It is misleading- product description says "contains 12 guide combs" but this does not mean it contains combs #1-12, meaning 1.25" (#11) and 1.5" (#12) guide combs. These combs are missing! It only contains up to the 1" comb. You have to buy the 1.25" and 1.5" combs separately. Luckily, I didn't need them- my boyfriend wanted his hair cut to the 1/2" which was included. The main clipper has a switch that jolts on the razor- not the smoothest design. It is also loud, but I don't care about that. The carrying case is really useful. I didn't try using the other trimmers yet or the tapering position of the main clipper, but hopefully they all work well.
Overall, this kit works(and when I bought it it was only $40). IT's a good value for all you get, it's really all you need. I did a great job on my boyfriend's hair and he's happy !!

This kit is good over all. I take it to a barber shop and use it instead of their tools for hygiene purposes.
The scissor is bad however. I would recommend getting a higher quality scissor.
