Pricey but worth it.,

I used to have a pair of Shaper Image clippers that did a pretty nice job on my head- that is until one day the blade plate fell off and shattered on the bathroom floor. Unfortunately, Shaper Image is no longer, so I couldn't find the same pair again. Thus began my search.
The problem was, almost every pair of clippers I found had polarizing reviews. People either loved them or hated them. In fact, the ONLY pair that only had positive reviews was this one. Granted it only had one review, but that, coupled with the Wahl brand name and the hefty price point, I figured they had to be good. Good is an understatement. They are amazing. It's a tad embarrassing to be so excited over a pair of clippers, but after having tried a pair of Norelco's that butchered my head, I have to say, I have found clipper Nirvana. They are quiet, they hold a very long charge. They are well made and have some weight to them. They cut extremely close. They cut evenly. They are as sharp as a razor. And one of the best features of all, there is a battery gauge so you know when to recharge them. About the only thing I would say negative about them is that the charging base is a bit over-sized and bulky, making it not ideal for traveling. Fortunately, it holds a charge for quite some time, so chances are for most trips, this would never be an issue since you can leave the base behind. As for the price, don't let it turn you off. You'll spend that much in haircuts in a matter of months anyway. And besides, most clippers are about 40 bucks. So, figure this is 3X the price for the 3X the quality. I say splurge on yourself. You won't regret it.

I've had horses and dogs all my adult life. Had to give up the horses a few years ago, but kept my Wahl Stable Pro clippers (20 years old now and still running great!) They do a great job on my Bichons, but I am developing arthritis in my wrists and needed something lighter. Giving 3 Bichons a "puppy cut" every 6 weeks has gotten hard on my hands with the heavy Stable Pro. I had the opportunity to see and use these clippers at my vets office - and immediately came home and ordered my own.
Clippers arrived yesterday and I just had to give them a run. Every bit of cutting power that my Stable Pro has, if not more. BUT - quieter, runs cooler, lighter weight, 5 adjustments instead of 3 and best of all, no cord getting in the way. I will keep my Stable Pro and use it for when I have to cut a dirty coat - but these will be my main clippers for after bath cuts. These did an awesome job clipping through a Bichon coat - but also did an excellent job on pads and ears - with NO clipper burn. Wahl has always been my clipper of choice and this has to be one of the best they have ever made. If I still had my horses, you can bet I would be using this model on them!

Awesome clipper but the attachments suck compared to ones I've owned in the past.
They are flimsy and there really is no good place or way to store them with the clipper.
