I bought this a few months ago when it first came out. I pair the device with the Cyclemeter app and Wahoo's Speed and Cadence sensors and it works really well. The main benefit of using this device is that it saves your iPhone's battery since the screen isn't on and it provides you whatever data you would like to see as you cycle such as speed, average speed, clock time, lap time, iPhone battery level and ride time. The RFLKT and iPhone app provides you pre-loaded functions and is further customizable to whatever you would like to see. You have to go into this purchase with the understanding that the RFLKT is a 'dumb' computer in that it will NOT work without an iPhone. I like it and since I carry my iPhone in my jersey whenever I go cycling it isn't a big deal and is an alternative to buying a Garmin Edge computer. If you are in the market for a computer and use an iPhone, I would recommend this computer, but I do wish it was a little cheaper than $129.99.

I purchased the RFLKT to pair with my Nexus 4 Android phone. While the title indicates it is for the iPhone, it will also work with Android devices that have the Bluetooth 4.0 spec and are running 4.3 or higher.

The android apps are new for wahoo and a bit rough around the edges, especially the Utility used to update the firmware for the device. It took several attempts to get the firmware to update properly. I believe the problem was that I connected it to the fitness app first then when trying to connect to the utility, the fitness app would not release it's connection to the device. After several reboots of my phone, I was able to get everything connecting properly.

My first ride with the device was a century. My moving time was 6 hours and total duration was 7 hours. Over that time, I used about 60% of my phone's battery life. I set the phone to airplane mode and then turned on Bluetooth and GPS. The phone was capturing data from GPS and the Wahoo Speed and Cadence sensor and transferring it to the RFLKT. I took along an external battery pack just in case but did not have to use it.

My phone was in my back pocket and I had none of the connectivity issues with the device that others have described. I am not sure if this is b/c the bluetooth radio on my phone is stronger than some of the iphones, or if it is due to a firmware fix. I stopped several times and was more than 20ft from my bike, still no loss of connection. At one point, I stopped long enough that there was no activity and the device went to sleep. I pushed one of the buttons to wake it, started riding and the RFLKT connected back up in a few seconds displaying the current ride being captured on the Wahoo Fitness app.

I really thought that the RFLKT would be a great idea for my bicycle. The integration with the iPhone via Bluetooth seemed like a perfect fit. The problem arrises when you want to put your iPhone in the back pocket of your bicycle jersey. Your body interferes with the Bluetooth signal and the RFLKT loses track of it and turns off. It was really frustrating to be on a ride and have it turn off all of the time. When you turn it back on it restarts your ride and messes up your tracking. They discuss this on their support page, but their answer is to keep your phone in you saddle bag. I shouldn't have to change the way I ride just to get tracking. I am going to return it and get a Garmin 510.

The display is very clear and readable, even at high speeds from a seated distance, The information flexibility (what can be shown) is super (paired with Cyclemate). The reduction in battery consumption with using this (over using cyclemate "always on" attached to the handlebars) is superb.

Downside - it looeses its connection "freezes" about once ever two or three rides for no clear reason and can only be restarted by deleting the "sensor" and reinstalling it which requires a stop, digging the phone out etc etc
It also managed to fly off the mount once (in now more than a dozen rides). Granted I clipped a pothole going fairly fast - a big jolt, but I don't think something this light and delicate electronics, screen etc should come off without a special tool ever. It now has "command adhesive" between the display and its mount in addition to the native clip.

A great improvement over my prior iPhone holder and mount on the bars, but there is room for improvement

I've had this since last summer and have really tried to make it work as hoped. I think that the concept of what it's trying to do is awesome.
I need to point out, I'm more into endurance riding than sprints. This is important.
Here's my problem. I've yet to have a ride of note where the system has worked without problems. And that's the problem with the unit. There are too many moving parts. The RFLKT has to communicate with the phone, the phone has to talk to the speed, cadence, heart rate, and power, which then sends that to the RFLKT again. So what are the problems, in no particular order:
1- They talk about "up to a 9 hour battery life." This is just not true. I've purchased a back up battery to make sure I can get though a century ride. Today I was just under 4 hours riding, started with 100% battery on my phone. And when the ride was up I was at just over 20%. The only app I had running on the phone was the Wahoo app. If you have any other tracking apps going, I potentially can't make it past 4 hours. There is no way I can make it 6 hours without the backup battery if I start at 100% on the phone.
2- Don't put the phone in your back jersey pocket or a seat bag. The connection will not remain reliable. I've only had any kind of consistency when I put it in my side pocket.
3- Again on the ride today. I walked away from the bike for just a minute, maybe 30-40 feet and came back. Got on the bike and the display was locked up, frozen.
4- Somewhere in the circuit of devices I have something break almost every ride. Meaning one of the things that's connected doesn't show in the display. I'm willing to concede it could be the phone, but...
5- Not a problem with the RFLKT, but a problem nonetheless, the iPhone does not make a good bike computer.
