This is a great CD for quiet listening. It helps you focus in preparation for prayer or meditation. The first track - O Lord Hear my Prayer becomes powerful as you play it over and over. The rest of the CD is also a joy to hear.

This is a wonderful CD. Perfect for Taize prayers. I especially like #9 "stay with me".

This excellent CD, featuring two American choirs, contains two popular Taize songs: "O Lord Hear My Prayer" and "Eat This Bread". I recommend that anyone interested in purchasing this CD listen to these two tracts through the Amazon.com site. This was all it took for me to immediately decide to buy this CD! The other songs on Wait for the Lord soon became favorites, too. I have since given copies of this CD to friends who are interested in Taize meditation and music.

I love Taize, but I did not like the interpretation of this CD. The male soloist uses an operatic voice to sing his part, and I personally despise that kind of voice in meditative music. It could have been easily avoided had I listened to the preview tracks, and had I not assumed that the musical approach by the churches in Illinois to Taize would be the same as the European one.

I ordered this CD for the song, "Eat This Bread," but I was delighted with the entire collection. Especially fine are "O Lord Hear My Prayer," Wait For the Lord," and "Stay With Me." This group creates music for inspiration and creativity. If you are moved by choirs, you will want to hear Taize's WAIT FOR THE LORD.

This CD is a great introduction to Taize. Although I didn't know anything about Taize when I purchased this CD many years ago, I have since discovered---as will you---that Taize music is renowned for its ability to touch people deeply. There is a powerful and haunting quality to these sung prayers that lingers long after the CD has been turned off. If you're searching for quiet, meditative, background music, or seeking to deepen your spiritual journey, "Wait for the Lord" may well become one of your favorite CDs.

I have been looking for a good Taize CD. This one is better than I expected and, in fact, ended up giving it as a gift to our Music Minister.
Every hymn on this CD is exceptional. Will surely purchase again.

The CD arrived in a very timely manner and was just what I wanted. Being able to listen to part of each trac was very helpful in making my selection.

Wonderful, meditative music from Taize. The first CD done in USA. Most are in English, which is not true of all the Taize CDs. A great place to start. It sent me on a mission to learn more about the community. Awesome!
