Australian-born Rebecca St. James celebrates her first decade as a recording artist with the Best-Of package "Wait For Me". This CD includes some of Rebecca's most cherished and best known songs including her breakthrough hits "God" and "Pray" as well as "Go and Sin No More", "Song Of Love", her very first hit "Here I Am" and her anthem for abstinance "Wait For Me", the track which this CD is named after.
There are also some rare tracks included such as her 1999 tribute to Columbine victim Cassie Bernall "Yes I Believe In God" which had not previously been available on any of Rebecca's albums. Her cover of Keith Green's "Your Love Broke Through" which was previously only on a recent tribute album is included here as well.
To top things off, there are two brand new tracks which are likely to become classics in the near future. "I Thank You" is a driving Praise song that has a style similar to DC Talk. "Expressions of Your Glory" is a heartfelt Worship song which was co-written by Worship leader Chris Tomlin who provides guest vocals on it.
This is a great collection of tracks from one of Christian music's most enduring artists. This CD serves as an excellent overview of Rebecca St. James's career up to the present and includes tracks from all her albums (including the "Christmas" album). "Wait For Me" truly does live up to its title, it is "The Best From Rebecca St. James".

This is a good CD to own! This album is truly the best from Rebecca St. James (also with 2 new songs on it.) I got it on sale for $11.99 or so. It was definitely worth what I paid for it. Here's my overview of the songs on this album:

1. I Thank You 5/5 Great and upbeat song.

2. Expressions of Your Love 4/5 It would have been better if the tempo was more upbeat, but a good song nevertheless.

3. God 4/5 A good song from Rebecca with great lyrics, as always.

4. Pray 4/5 Upbeat with great lyrics which are based on 2 Chronicles 7:14.

5. Mirror 3/5 OK song. It starts off slow but gets a little better.

6. Wait For Me 5/5 Great song about keeping your purity.

7. Yes, I Believe in God 5/5 This is a beautiful song. I love the lyrics.

8. Song of Love 2/5 This song could have been better. It was just pretty boring to me.

9. Speak To Me 3/5 It starts off really slow, but it gets better.

10. Here I Am 5/5 I love this song! This is one of my favorites from Rebecca even though she was only 16 when this song came out on her first CD.

11. Stand 3/5 It's an OK song which starts off pretty slow, but just like some of the other songs on this album, it gets better.

12. Reborn 5/5 Catchy and upbeat with good lyrics. Great song!

13. Lamb of God 4/5 Good and upbeat worship song.

14. Go and Sin No More 4/5 Good song!

15. Until Your Love Broke Through 2/5 A boring song, but it has good lyrics. The songs slow down from here.

16. A Cradle Prayer 2/5 Sweet song, but boring. I prefer uptempo songs.

17. Breathe 5/5 Great worship song!

18. Psalm 139 2/5 Good lyrics, but incredibly slow.

Rebecca St. James delivers every time. Would this CD be any different? Of course not. She, and her band, have the ability to create hit after hit; this brings the best of the best to one CD. And it is a great CD at that.

Not sure if it is just my CD, but none of the songs match up with the song list on the back of the CD. But you know what, I don't even care about that. I wouldn't care if the CD didn't even come with a case. It rocks, and that's all that counts.

There are so many good songs, praising our Lord and Savior, that I can't pick my favorite. Rebecca St. James is one of the few Christian artist I have never seen in concert. But I do have all of her CDs and look forward to one day telling her how beautiful her music is. I would also like to thank her in person for creating music that teaches my children to live a clean, positive life.

I dont even really listen to Christian music that much, but when I heard Rebecca's "Best from" cd, I knew that I had to get it. Her songs are so inspirational, and I pop this cd in whenever I am having a bad day. I think she should be more of a well known artist, because I think that people would really like her if they heard more about her. Even if your not really into Christian music, buy this cd! I guarantee you that you will enjoy every minute of it. I sure did.

Rebecca St. James has one of the most beautiful voices on the planet.

In this album she compiles her greatest hits into a dynamic collection. Her songs are filled with powerful messages. She wrote or co-wrote most of the songs here.

There are so many great songs that it's hard to pick favorites. In spite of that, I am a bit partial to 'God'. However, that is certainly not to take away from the other great tunes here. She does a version of Keith Green's 'Until Your Love Broke Through' that is superb. She also sings 'Breathe' on this CD. It is another of the few that she didn't write, but performs magnificently.

If you are not familiar with Rebecca's work, do yourself a favor, and treat yourself to this CD.

This is one of Rebecca's Best! It is a great mix of all her songs from her first album to Worship God! it also has two new tracks, Expressions of Your Love and I Thank You. She really is a great singer with good values. My favorite track is Keith Green's "Until Your Love Broke Through."

i think that everyone who buys this CD will get something out of it. i know i did!

I first heard her music was during a movie dealing with the End Times. After the movie, she sang Come Quickly Lord Jesus I went to the nearest store and bought her CD "God". And as they say, the rest is history. Her latest CD The Best Of Rebecca St James had all my favorite songs. Psalms 139, Wait For Me and A Love Song have been added to my favorite songs. She is a must see in concert.

On a fun note I found the original picture used for the cover on the net and a ring she was wearing was edited out for the cover.

This is the first CD of RSJ I've ever bought, I was so impressed! This CD was special to me because I've had the opportunity to sing a couple of her songs for special music at our church (God, Go and Sin No More) and so having a cd with both these (and other favourites) was just awesome. This woman has an amazing talent and a profound message to send to people everywhere-I also found her webpage to be very encouraging. Buy it, you'll love it!
