Teachers of music tell their students that the human voice is the one musical instrument everyone can play. Oh, that we could all have the talent of Mr. Sykes for just 15 minutes! His range is incredible and so very wonderous to hear.

The Grammys came and went, but this vignette is the best in my book. Jubiliant's voice is so beautiful and lyrical this CD is a must have for your collection. I heard the NPR interview last fall and knew I wanted a copy. Now I'm buying copies for my closest friends!

I get chills listening to this man sing. I adore his gospel music and this is a wonderful mix of gospel and love songs. His voice takes you places that thrill and amaze and you won't want to ever come back. His rendition of Jefferson Airplane's "Today"
is possibly the most romantic song ever sung. This is a truly gifted man.

I heard of Jubilant on a radio interview a few months ago. During the interview they played the song from this CD, "God Only Knows" (track 9), a remake of the Beach Boys' hit. I was hooked!

Jubilant serves up a musical feast of pop, gospel and the classics that will satisfy many listeners.

His magnificent vocal quality proves there's nothing he can't sing - except off key!

He's amazing in his own right. Thankfully evey generation is fortunate to be blessed with "truly gifted vocalists" His voice is both a comfort and never without surprise. His range covers the map... brings to mind so many... takes you from the powerful depths of Johnny Hartman's smouldering fire of a baritone, to the upreaching peaks of Al Jarreau's falsetto.

Kova Rea is a African French singer who's beautiful depth and range comes closest to the talents of Jubilant Sikes.

What can Craig Street NOT DO? Jubilant Sykes already has a voice out of this world, but to hear him take on these "popular" songs, is like watching the circus - nothing but death-defying feats. With awesome production by Craig Street, Jubilant takes each song in stride and offers unique expression. My personal fave is "Take It With Me." And the players are phenomenal. The best thing about a Craig Street production is that you will hear EVERYSINGLEINSTRUMENT as they they were all painting the picture with different textures. For an overdose of Craig, try putting Jubilant, Kd Lang's "Drag", Joe Henry's "Scar", Meshell's "Bitter", and Cassandra Wilson's "Blue Light Til Dawn" and her "New Moon Daughter" in the shuffle. Your ears will thank you!

After hearing him in concert with Christopher Parkening, I was completely mesmerized by the quality of his voice (along with my music teacher!) I grabbed this CD out of a used bin in a local store and it's now one of my favorites when I need something mellow to relax to. Others are right when they say the quality of various tracks are mixed, but overall I love it.

The voice is wonderful. The heart comes across in this CD I just wish the arrangements were more soulful.
His voice and the emotion of his singing move me greatly!!!

A close friend just gave to me as a gift. I have not stopped listening to the joyful sounds. I would not hesitate to purchase this cd, The arrangements are recorded very well and the singing is angelic.

Notwithstanding the various criticisms relating to production and the disconcerting nature of the medley of songs chosen, Jubilant has the most amazing voice! It is worth getting and listening to each of these songs over and over again....I absolutely loved it and can't wait for more. Michelle
