Sarah A. Hoyt's (Darkship series, Shifter series, and more) "Wait Until the War Is Over" is an amazing short story! I love the story within the story, and how the second ties in with the first. I also love the parallels to the decisions we make. I highly recommend this short story :)

Eurydice and her father live in an old Victorian mansion, or do they? Her mother's funeral had been several days ago and Mom never told the daughter that dad had some form of dementia or did he? OR did they live in the far future fighting an insect alien race and the 2 of them had been injured? You tell me which.
