This is an excellent album from Australian band, Bachelor Girl, consisting of Tania Doko, singer, and James Roche, writer/instrumentalist. Not only are the songs undeniably catchy and veer away from commonplace lyrics alluding to love, but, the combination of Doko's strong vocals and Roche's lyrical guitar work compliment each other greatly. This album has a strong start with "Buses and Trains," their international hit. It only gets better from there, and compliments the listener's intelligence with thought provoking verses (as opposed to insulting us, as some artists do). It's just a shame that Bachelor Girl broke up so soon. This 1998 release really stands the test of time, ten years later. Don't miss out on WAITING FOR THE DAY.

Sensational new Australian duo,

Bachelor Girl's first single Busses and Trains was a huge hit in Australia. I just assumed it was a US rock band...highly polished, huge vocals, commercial.Waiting For The Day is laced from top to bottom with excellent songs, which have been skillfully arranged. Very Dynamic. Waiting For The Day also features Jack Jones on Guitar. Jack is renowned as a great AUstralian rock guitarist (and singer), although fans of Jack's may be a little annoyed that guitar is not in-your-face (although there is plenty of it). This is perhaps the most refreshing album I have heard from Australia in many years, perhaps since INXS's 'Kick' album.

Fabulous New Artist,

The fresh sound of Bachelor Girl is supported by their thought-provoking lyrical content. Easy to listen to, this album is addictive. The artists' musical talents shine through - Tanya's powerful vocals are backed by James' tight harmonies, and their varied but consistently compelling style is mature and inspired. Well worth the money! I hope this Australian group continues to produce albums such as this.

This is the only CD I've ever purchased and felt it was actually worth full price. I've had it months now and still enjoy hearing every single track on a daily basis. Each exhibits a different style/mood but still blends well with the rest. True talent!

A friend from Australia sent me the song Buses and Trains. I couldn't stop listening to it! I wanted more of their music so I had to look for it. I'm glad I found it! If you like upbeat music, give it a try. It's great!

If you're looking for a great upbeat sound, smooth vocals and lyrics that you can relate to then this is probably a CD you should have in your selection. Every song hits the mark and Bachelor Girl's debut CD is bound to be big all over the world.

These guys are one of best bands to come out of Australia in a long while. The music is great, and the lyrics - smart and sassy. If you are not quite as young as you used to be, and questioning whether this is as good as it gets, have a listen to Lucky Me, and tell me that it doesn't sound oh so familiar - your life as a song (well it was mine). Buses and Trains is a great girl anthem - a celebration and acceptance of all the mistakes we made along the way and all the lessons we learnt. Bachelor Girl have a unique way of taking 'real life', and turning it into wonderfully entertaining music.

I have to say I was very disappointed when I received the cd. I bought it because I wanted one particular song called Permission to Shine. It is shown in the preview and I listened to the clip to confirm it was the song. Yet when I received the cd the song is not on it. I feel it was not accurately represented. Either fix it or take it off the web site.

This is one of the absolute best pop albums made, since thirty years! Period! I would give it seven stars, if possible. I now see it's a little bit expensive to buy, no problem - it's worth it all the way! Just buy it while you can and enjoy Tania Doko's unique and big voice. Not a single bad track here, no - this album sets a new standard for "value for the money", even if you double the price!!! Well, what are you waiting for...........RUN AND BUY, NOW!!!
