Book Description

*This is a standalone novel with no prior books needed to be read before it*

College.

Parties, sororities and getting drunk.

Oh, yeah. And learning.

This may be true for most college students, but not for Leah Bennett. College life for her includes studying, working, and excelling in school. When it comes to the social ladder, Leah is at the bottom. Popular girls, hot guys and star athletes are of no importance to her, except for one.

Matthew Jacobs.

Matt is the starting wide receiver at SUNY Cortland, the most wanted guy on campus and Leah’s best friend. Although Leah’s feelings toward Matt run deeper than just a friendship, it is something she would never let be heard because the odds of someone like Matthew Jacobs going for someone like Leah Bennett are slim to none.

When Matt starts showing an interest in Leah that goes beyond friendship, she is dumbfounded and doesn’t believe it is possible – until one weekend that changes everything.

Will Matt and Leah’s popularity status get in the way of having a chance at a real relationship?

Or does status mean nothing when it comes to true love?

5.0 out of 5 stars I Love This Book! It's A Must Read! April 9, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Waiting On Forever is the 2nd book in the Forever series by Ashley Wilcox. I have read a lot of books, this by far is in my top 3! Matt is a popular college footbal player, he's really HOT! and is well on his was to the pro's. He's not your typical jock though, he's sweet and cares about his friends and I fell in love with him!

Then there's Leah, smart, friendly, pretty but not popular like Matt. They are as opposite as they can be. When they meet they start a nice friendship, they are in the same french class. Matt is struggling so their teacher asks if Leah will tutor him. They start spending time together, Matt meets her in the mornings to walk with Leah, they work together after school to work on Matt's french.

Their friendship shifts into a beautiful relationship! Along the way they are challenged with a few issues that they need to get through together. Their chemistry is blazing hot and there were many moments where I teared up some, happy, one where I had to take a break to gather myself to continue reading,

You will love this book! It's beautifully written and you will think about it long after you finish.

5.0 out of 5 stars Leah + Matt = Freaking AMAZBALL!! April 11, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have never read anything by Ashley Wilcox prior to this book and as a avid reader (with her own book club to boot) who actually does not right reviews very often can i just say you blew my socks off! This was a great book about the socially wierd Leah who doesn't really see her self for all her worth that catches the football stars eye Matthew. She doesn't understand why he would want to be anything more than friends with her sense she is not your baywatch barbie bimbo type. But what she doesn't know is that she is exactely his type. This book keeps you turning the page all the way from page one to the end! It is a great romance with it's up's and down's but to see the charecters grow into their own and form this amazing relationship. You wont be dissapointed in this book, and shocker.. the end is the best part! I look forward to seeing more from this wounderfully delightful author, Enjoy my fellow book junkies!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ashley Wilcox demands you fall in love. A MUST READ! April 10, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This is the first strictly romance novel I have read in a long time. Typically I am a fan of supernatural things but Ashley Wilcox made me forget completely that paranormal books were even an option and commanded my full attention from the very first page. Leah Bennett is a college freshman who just tried to survive high school and now make it through college. She is the essence of what every girl struggles with when finding herself and love in a new place. I fell in love with her after her first interaction with Matthew Jacobs, the hot star football player that every girl dreams about. The story that Ashley was able to weave had me begging for more. I opened it this morning and read it from cover to cover squealing like a little kid in a candy store. When they were embarrassed I cringed for them, I high-fived Leah through the pages and cheered Matt on as if I was truly there. Waiting on Forever is an absolutely breathtaking story that I would recommend to anyone and will be reading again. If you are looking for a book that will consume you, make you forget to eat and forfeit bathroom breaks for one more chapter-this is the book for you. Ashley Wilcox's book is what a true romance novel should be and couldn't possibly disappoint. I'm so glad I read this book and I swear you will be too.

The reason I gave it two stars is because the story line COULD HAVE BEEN good. Let's start with the book description... Leah's BEST FRIEND, no. They meet once at orientation and then talk online for a month or something after. Just because he is her only friend does not mean he is her best friend. That is a terrible description. It makes you think that the main couple is going to have a substantial relationship that will need to transition from friends to more.

Next, Leah is SUCH A JUDGMENTAL b****. She thinks she is smarter, tougher and a harder worker than everyone. Seriously?!?! Just because a girl has bleach blonde hair she is a bimbo and an idiot? Ok!

Finally, Matt doesn't even tell her that they are dating? Ok, I'm going to let go the TELL her part and say it's absolutely ridiculous to find out someone is your boyfriend through his best friend. That is weird, not sweet.

The book is juvenile and just plain stupid. This is coming from a girl who enjoys a mindless read. Don't buy it, you are wasting your money if you do.

2.0 out of 5 stars What? April 19, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I'm sorry but is everyone else here reading the same thing i just read? Because wow...this book has a good review and i dont now why.
Lets talk about Leah. The girl has no life, no friends, and no love for herself. I mean she's a virgin, has never had a boyfriend, has never been kissed, and the first passionate kiss leads to major make out sessions where she's begging him for sex? Really??? That is NOT how a 'virgin' would act. Then she talks about in the begging giving Matt 'head' and she says she cant imagine having anything like that near her mouth..but she sure liked it when he did it to her. I dont know, she just seemed shallow and a bit to excited about jumping his bones..and for what reason..Because he's a hot football player. I dont know i guess i just expected a bit more. How was she an artsy chick? Because she took pictures?? Umm...yeah..DIDNT WORK...
Matt...hmm...what can i say about him...lemme see a 'super hot football star thats a virgin and falls in love with a girl in two weeks' i dont think so. Was he sweet? Yes. But was the story believable..umm..no..sorry. It wasnt and although i know its fiction i wanted to feel the characters a bit more. I wanted to be able to relate to them or to the story. It just seemed like suddenly everyone loved Leah; and for what reason????
The portrayal of sorority girls was horrible....seriously..alot of sorority girls are fun, intelligent and normal. They dont act so airheaded...damn..Anyways the whole arguyment was stupid....and if She was going to make such a big deal about it ....she shouldnt have taken him back so fast...like seriously...it just seemed like an excuse..Anyways...Overall i didnt hate the book..but i didnt LOVE It i just disagreed with alot of things.

Shallow story, shallow characters. Manufactured conflict, stereotypes abound. This could have been good if the author fleshed out her idea better.
