vandervelde reminds me of a past greatie,dan folgelberg,with this album.
when he rocks,he also reminds of neil young.all in all,though,the approach is original and the writing begs to hear more soon!

As a music fan, i am always overjoyed when i locate an album which i love immediately after its first listen. This is such an album! David Vandervelde makes lush music with elements of Curt Boettcher, Jackson Browne and perhaps Emmit Rhodes. His gift for melodies and the production of the album harkens back to a time where this sort of sound was a given. The entire album is amazing and i would greatly recommend to those who love singer songwriter work but in a more polished tone.
