Lisa Loeb is best known for her 1994 breakthrough single "Stay(I Miss You)" from the film Reality Bites. She is a singer-songwriter and actress discovered by friend and neighbour Ethan Hawke who presented a tape of her single to then director Ben Stiller, who agreed to use it in his film giving Loeb her big break.
