When Russell Simmons and Babyface coming together for a project - that means something tight is going down. And it was! `Wake Up Everybody' has an ill beat and all these big artists are all over the track. I'm a true hip-hop fan at heart but the other music represented on this album was just right. Seal and Lenny Kravitz? Amazing performances When I went to grab the CD at the store, I was surprised that it came with a DVD with a bunch of extra features. They talk about making a difference and the work they put into this thing really shows their passion for humanity and making things right again.

When there's a big line up of big name artists and a song title like "Wake Up Everybody" you just know someone's tryin to say somethin....something important that they're all passionate about. Russell Simmons and Babyface made it happen....and with a bumpin beat backing up their message. With the lead song being a hip hop based song I thought the whole CD was going to stick to this genre of music....but it runs with a variety of musical genres...which keeps it interesting and fresh....makes it all the better. It includes every musical taste with artists we can all respect no matter what type of music we listen to. Not only is the music good with big name performances, it's saying something! I recommend this cd to all those like me who love music with substance and just love music period

I really like this whole cd. However, I truly enjoyed the first track. It has a very cool collaboration of different hip hop and R&B artists on it. There are so many people on it like Reverend Run, Mary J. Blige, Wyclef Jean, Missy Elliot, Eve, Jadakiss, Brandy, Fabulous, Ashanti, Nate Dogg....the list goes on. Their cover of Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes is excellent. I think the more modern hip hop spin really added to the depth of the original. I've always been a fan of the above artists, but this track in particular just sounds amazing. Not to mention the song has a positive message!
