5.0 out of 5 stars Wake Up!

"Wake Up" is an 80's inspired dance track, complete with funky background music and Hilary's clear vocals. Long gone are the days of 'Lizzie McGuire', Hil's all grown up, and this track proves it!
This song was co-written by Hil's rocker boyfriend, Joel Madden, and his brother Benji Madden (both from punk/rock band, Good Charlotte), so it packs a little...

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst song of the century
This is by far one of the worst songs of the year(Make that THE worst) and probably the century. It's godawful from start to finish. The video is also really bad and I can't believe that it reached no.1 on MTV? Are people's tastes really this bad? It angers me even more that it stayed at the top as long as it did. Those giving this crap good revies need to go listen to...

This song was co-written by Hil's rocker boyfriend, Joel Madden, and his brother Benji Madden (both from punk/rock band, Good Charlotte), so it packs a little more 'punch' than her other songs.

The bonus track on the single is the acoustic version of "Who's That Girl", from Hilary's sophomore self-titled album. It makes a great extra track as it really shows off Hilary's talented singing.

If you like Hilary Duff or are a fan of really good music, then you'll love this single!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilary Has Woken, August 26, 2005
This review is from: Wake Up (Audio CD)
This is a great song to start off her music career again, its like all of the other Hilary Duff songs, which we love, except it was co-written by Good Charlotte.

I recomend this to everyone, unless you dont like pop music with a bit of rock influence in it.

100% The Best!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Wake Up!!, August 26, 2005
This review is from: Wake Up (Audio CD)
"Wake Up" is one of Hilary's best singles yet. She did a GREAT job with it. It's a fun pop song that Hil fans will definitely love. The second track which is Who's That Girl (Acoustic Version) is a softer version of the original which appeared on her second album, Hilary Duff. Both of these songs are on the Most Wanted Collector's Edition, plus many more. I think if you are thinking of buying this, choose to buy the collector's edition of Most Wanted. It has both these songs, other of Hilary's greatest hits, new remixes, and other brand new songs!

2.0 out of 5 stars Wake Up, People!, September 11, 2005
This review is from: Wake Up (Audio CD)
Whatever happened to the musical day and age when no-talents like Ashlee Simpson never so much as got through the doorway of record company headquarters, and actors who couldn't sing like Ms. Duff, her arch rival Lindsay Lohan and Jennifer Lopez accepted that - and focused their talents where they belonged?

Although that time is gone, there is still good music out there these days. Unfortunately, the only contemporary/pop artist out there currently burning up the charts who has any talent behind them is Mariah Carey. Avril Lavigne is also a fine example of true talent that has a place on the nation's Top 40 airwaves.

Hilary Duff is the perfect example of what is wrong with the music industry. Insipid lyrics, vocal tricks, lip-synced performances, you name it. The only thing she's got going for her is that she is a good role model for this nation's youth - and only time will tell how long that will last. She gets a second star for that.

What will it take for you people to wake up and see the light about manufactured music like this? If you must buy only music that is in the Top 40, stick with Mariah Carey and Avril Lavigne, hip young artists who not only write their own music, but actually sing. And you won't find them releasing cash cow grab bag, so-called greatest hits efforts like Duff's "Most Wanted."

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't Listen To The Hatas-HILARY CAN SING, October 7, 2005
This review is from: Wake Up (Audio CD)
The Haters saying that Hilary sucks and can't sing are just idiots and they are completely lying. I won tickets locally to got to her concert and meet her backstage. She sang for me and my friend personally and she has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. Her lyrics are very clean and crisp and they are enhanced for the CD, which is a great one, so i would recommend this to anyone. Also, a friend of mine won the tickets to a Brintey Spears concert last fall and heard her sing personally, so for all you speaking bad about her, she may be a slut (She even said so herself), but she truly can sing. She just lip-syncs on stage because of the dancing she has to do. As for Lindsay Lohan, nice rack and good acting qualities, but potty voice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wake Up people (its real!!), December 6, 2005
This review is from: Wake Up (Audio CD)
Hey people who crtiticizes Hilary''s Wake Up!!!!!
there is a big, big difference between pop and rock songs and obviously this song is anything but rock. It's POP!! she never said it was rock, I don't know what made you think its rock. anyway, I agree the song has no meaning, but its very cool!! the parts of the song has no a really conection but it sound great, like a dancefloor song. I love the 2d track so much, the album version is great and this too!! 5 stars. Go ahead for the Beat of my heart single, and read this first:
That song isn't rock, please, think so.
