ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE,
This review is from: Wake Up (MP3 Download)
As stated in the previous reviews.... I was watching the Where the Wild Things Are preview, and couldn't get the background theme song out of my head. So naturally, i pulled out my Iphone and googled WTWTA soundtrack, originally i thought it was a song by someone else, but as i youtubed the WTWTA soundtrack the first thing that came up was an acoustic "unfinished" version of this song....I played it and recognized the epic-ness I felt, then I took Arcade Fire - Wake Up and typed that into youtube and found the song.I must've listened to it 8 times in a row, and still felt overwhelmed with emotion. I'm quite the Arcade fan,one of my favorite songs is Headlights, very simple, yet gives off that good feeling. They do that. And they've became experts on the subject. Because this song is absolutely incredible.

If you have seen the trailer for the upcoming movie "Where the wild things are", then you'll want this song. It is immensely powerful, and a real "feel good" track. It's the kind of track that sounds just as awesome the 100th time you play it.

Steals the show,

Arcade Fire toured the world in a hurricane of a tour supporting their album 'Neon Bible' in 2007 and 2008. The follow-up to 'Funeral,' their first full length album, 'Neon Bible' is one that some listeners have found to be somewhat of a creeper; it takes some listening to love. But it's aging well, and may prove to be a masterpiece yet. However, 'Funeral' is still their best so far, most agree. And "Wake Up" is a slowly building emotional barn-burner that steals the show. Originally designed to be the opening song of their show, it became one of their trademarks too good to lead off with. It's a rolling, monumental song that the audience comes to see [along with "Tunnels" and "Rebellion (Lies)"] and, as such, became the song with which they wrap up the festivities, in a grand way. Take a listen and you'll see why and how.
