Should be made into a movie,

I hope more Abe Stroud books will be written and that movies will be made. I have read all three Abe Stroud books and I enjoyed them.

Not a bad read, but...,

A pretty enjoyable book, but not great. The first half of the book was pretty good and what I would have expected. But then there are some king-size plot contrivances and the second half of the book is a little... different. Some of the gore and sex seemed thrown in just to make the book more interesting.
I haven't read the first book in the series, so maybe I'm missing some character development from that book, but there were some scenes where I was going "what!?". Suspension of dis-belief, sure, but don't push it this far. Caine doesn't really add anything new to the werewolf mythos, but it's still a pretty good book; just not great. The creatures in the book are probably closer to wendigo than werewolf.

Curse of the vampire, wake of the werewolf and legion of the dead are all great reads. Legion of the dead being my least favorite, but still a good read. I can't believe he hasn't given us any more adventures from Abe Stroud. Someone please get more tales from him... It's been WAY too long.

I agree with the reviewer above. These three books are of a much higher quality than one expects. The age old myths of vampires, werewolves and zombies are dragged screaming into the nineties. This kind of talent reminds me of Brent Monahan. Someone please get this guy to write more.

Thrilling Werewolf Story,

There are only three books by this author and each
one is excellent! Please, please, please convince
him to write more - I have been impatiently waiting for years now. These books will never
leave my home. I only wish I had more and more!
If you can find these, they are well worth the
trouble.
