In the latter days of World War II, American Lieutenant Roger Carrington falls out of a plane over Germany and is discovered by a baroness. In this Post War Comedy, actor Ken Berry portrays an American Officer who accidently falls out of a plane in German territory and is taken in and hidden by a German baroness(Eva Gabor) at her estate and because of her affection for him never tells him that the war is now over for nearly 5 years. When he leaves the estate thinking that the War is still on with nobody speaking english to tell him that the war is over resulting in some hilarious consequences. Also, costarring Jim Backus and Werner Kemplerer(Hogan's Heroes). This is a must see film with Ken Berry at his best!!It's a comedy delight!!

Now this is one of those films that at times are a bit slap stick but Ken Berry and Eva Gabor are outstanding. The premise of the film is what would happen if suddenly you are behind enemy lines and you can't read or speak or even understand the language spoken in the country you happen to be at the moment. Then out of the blue you are befriended by a lovely widow who wines and dines and...Well, I will leave the rest up to your imagination. But hey it is a GP type of film like those that were shown back in 1969. It is great entertainment! So, kick back for 74 minutes and enjoy a film that will make you chuckle, smile and sometimes wonder... well here I will not spill the beans! So as the lights dim...enjoy the film!

If you like Green Akers you will like this. For me it is too silly. I was disapointed.
