I liked this book. The story is very sweet and I enjoyed the characters. The heroine is Serafina, a heiress who doesn't know she is an heiress, who is promised to marry Aiden, the Earl of Aubrey. Aiden is only marrying her because of her money and believes that his intended is a ugly brat. He is upset about his upcoming wedding so he goes off and soon discovers a beautiful woman asleep in the woods. He is enchanted by his fairy queen but doesn't know that she is his bride. Serafina doesn't know he is her intended either and when she discovers this she becomes very upset. They must overcome several obsticals on their way to happiness. I liked the secondary character of Raphael and I am looking forward to reading his story.

I wasn't sure I was going to like a story about Wiccans and karmic debt, but that was actually only an incidental part of the story, and it was handled so well I wasn't at all put off by it. The real story was the emerging trust and love of two people thrown together by fate, who at first think they are perfectly mismatched but who eventually find they were meant to be together. The characters are very sweet, especially Serafina who is gentle and good-hearted. Her husband at first seems heartless and shallow, but is actually just longing for love, like most romantic heros. It was a little frustrating that the characters had so much trouble communicating with each other, but I guess you have to have a little emotional turmoil or you wouldn't have a story. Anyway, they eventually work their way through their troubles and reach a satisfyingly happy ending. I thought this book was intelligently written unlike some of the popular but bland romances I've read lately. Highly recommended, if you like your romance with just a touch of fantasy. Enjoy!

Beautifull and Sexy...,

One of Kingsley's book that I found chewable. I am bracing myself for another long, monotonous story. So, I was surprised that the story is all but that! It is touching how Serafina who are kind and brave tries to love her husband, who was enggaged to her since she was nine. She is the type who has a very big heart and who see only the best even in the very hopeless situation. I found the essence of her character is so well developed, not because of her constant stupidity & naivity but because of the true nature of a girl who were raised such as Serafina. The hero is a little complex. I have him confused, as Kingsley doesn't creates his heartache until the middle end of the sotry, it is like "oh... I forgot that he's supposed to be another wounded party in this story". Even after that his charactrer is secondary in my opinion. Last, Kathrine Kingsley managed to combine Christianity and witchcrafting (and managed to put them together in the same household) with charm and humour... some of the scenes are just hillarious. In The Wake of the Wind is about fairy tale, gothic, and true love. It certainly entertain.....hugely!
