5.0 out of 5 stars Fiction with a Mission, April 25, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Waking God: Book One The Journey Begins (Paperback)
Waking God is fiction with a mission. Doe and Harris run down the field and tackle the big questions in Waking God/Book One/The Journey Begins. Herein the world's biggest culprits become the heroes as they battle not only the religious institutions, with their dogma and hellfire, but the very angels and gods themselves.
Truth is a slippery slide, but the novel's protagonist, theologian Dr. Andrew, is determined to get it, as his internal battles manifest in an all too real life war of cosmic proportions. It's refreshing to read a book that is about something. Whether one agrees with the assertions the authors put forth through this medium of fiction or not, the discussion is on the table. They've not pulled any punches. An entertaining and provoking book on many levels.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating Thriller, April 2, 2009
This review is from: Waking God: Book One The Journey Begins (Paperback)
Wow! Waking God: Book One - The Journey Begins is definitely a spiritual thriller. The characters are so vivid that it feels as if they jump out of the pages and are suddenly standing in the room right before your eyes. If you read between the lines, many mysteries and secret codes, The Tarot Code, are revealed which provides readers the opportunity for profound thinking. Many truths of the reality of our life here on earth are hidden in the pages of this unique book if you dare to allow yourself to step out of the darkness into the light. I am THRILLED that Waking God - The Journey Begins is a trilogy for I long to continue seeking the truths by reading more about these secret codes. It is bound to open more doors to the mysteries of this life we view as reality and strengthen your faith that it is only an illusion. I highly recommend this book to all!

5.0 out of 5 stars Waking God will Awaken Your Imagination, February 19, 2011
This review is from: Waking God: Book One The Journey Begins (Paperback)
First I must say I thought I already had a good idea of what Waking God was about before reading it. What a pleasant surprise when it caught me completely off guard.

It is a thrilling adventure which I enjoyed much more than The Divinci Code though I must say if you enjoyed Divinci, you will fall in love with this book. I don't want to give away the story and the other reviewers have already stated my feelings of what the story is about.

I recommend you sit down with an open mind and get comfortable for this is a page turner that will keep your interest and leave you wanting more. It is time we left the dogma of the past and return to a more real sense of spirituality.

I hope there will be more stories from this talented writing duo.

Monica M. Brinkman,
Author of The Turn of the Karmic Wheel

5.0 out of 5 stars Enlightening, January 22, 2011
This review is from: Waking God: Book One The Journey Begins (Paperback)
The book takes one on a spiritual journey to a higher good that tends to break the barriers of dogmas that have kept people in the dark for ages. Waking God by Phil Harris will give Dan Brown fans a new idol. This book shatters philosophical dogmas that the Church of Rome will be pressed to once again defend itself for philosophical deceit.
Waking God is enlightening. It does not attempt to destroy ones faith in God, but rather provides credence to a higher power - the supernatural powers of the universe. The forces of good -vs- evil is presented with credibility shrouded in mystery. Threats of violence together with intrigue for the developing hero and heroine keeps the reader wanting to know what happens next.
I encourage the reader to take this mystical journey that unfolds with carefully researched historical facts with a supernatural twist. You will enjoy this journey to a higher realm of being and understanding.
If you liked "The Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons or The Lost Symbol, by Dan Brown, you will thoroughly enjoy Waking God, by Phil Harris and Brian Doe. It is destined to be a\Number One Bestseller.
