Rewarding...
This book offers great insight into the lives of girls and women who struggle into what it means to be an American when you come from a family or upbringing that's not American. If you're a first-generation American and female, this books makes you feel less alone in your struggles for identity, belonging and meaning in your culture.

While this is a great topic, the content is very uneven. The stories range from well-thought out and well expressed to superficial dash-offs.
