After the stock fuel pump on my F-150 finally gave out I decided to go with high-flow Walbro pumps instead. Installation was pretty much plug-and-play and fairly easy other than the mishap of the missing wiring adapter from the Walbro 400-950 Fuel Pump Installation Kit.

Pumps work well so far with a slight whine at highway speed. It's difficult to describe but it sounds like a high-pitch buzzing or wheezing almost like a small whistle at high speed. They're not at all loud as some of the online reviews state other than the wheezing but for some reason do get louder if the ambient temperature is higher. I haven't been able to figure out the reason for this yet. There was plenty of gas in the tank at the time so I don't think they were overheating or anything like that.

I bought 2 of these Walbro GSS342 fuel pump from 2 different vendors (I bought one at the lowest price from one vendor who sold me his last one in stock then bought another from another vendor at a higher price) for a twin pump setup. One came in a box with the Walbro logo along with installation instructions while the other came in a Ziploc bag and nothing else. Just something worth mentioning for potential future buyers.

I bought this to replace the pump that went out in my 2006 Saturn Ion Redline. I was told that it would fit, because if you know anything about these cars you know that the Cobalt SS is the exact same engine and in fact replaced the Saturn Ion Redline when Saturn went out of business.

Come to find out, it did not fit in the sending unit of the pump. I even tried to alter the sending unit so the pump would fit in like some suggested on certain forums. Still no luck. The pump is just too long.

I would imagine the pump works well but I unfortunately never had it working to find out. I ended up buying a whole new fuel pump rig from one of the auto parts stores in town.

It shipped fast and was as described. Buy at your own risk.

the pump was as expected, the part that was really above and beyond was the seller. extremely prompt delivery, and very well packaged. I've used these pumps before and ordered from other places and had little more than a piece of newspaper to protect the pump in the box. This time was great, the foam used really protected the pump. Would recommend this seller for anyone looking to order a new fuel pump

I have this on my 06 Forester STI and it works great. It was slightly damaged during shipping as the plastic that protects the push ends at the pumps electrical terminals were damaged.

GSS342 is direct replacement for URD fuel kit. Installed on a URD MKII S/C Toyota 1GR-FE Tacoma (4.0 V6). Great upgrade over stock fuel pump on N/A models too.

Installed on a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 with all the bolt-ons (naturally aspirated). Needed a new fuel pump and wanted to upgrade while at it. This is a bit more than I needed for my application, but has worked out well so far. Light whining noise on start up when the pump is priming. Could have just been going bad over time, but I've noticed improved performance.
