Of minors and majors,
By "sauri_g" (Boston, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Walhalla (Audio CD)
This song derives it's beauty from alternating it's central tune between a minor chord and a major chord. While their previous song Gouryella was fast and lifting, alternating between hard and soft, walhallah takes you through a roller coaster ride of chords. I can spot atleast 5 different South Indian Classical 'Ragas' in this song, interlaced in a way that is called the "Ragamalika" (garland of ragas). A truly unique song.

Uplifting Trance,
This review is from: Walhalla (Audio CD)
Ferry Corsten is one of the best trance DJs in recent times. Walhalla's beautiful melodies is a fabulous journey into trance heaven. The mix to listen here is Armin Van Buuren's Risng Star Mix ..an intro, crescendo, and an outro, all of which follow the pattern of a tale well-told. Shall be heard long after the music's over, in the halls of Walhalla.
