A wonderful thought provoking and inspiring story,
This review is from: A Walk with Christ to the Cross: The Last Fourteen Hours of His Earthly Mission (Faith Words) (Paperback)
As someone who reads the Bible over and over - I found this book to be a refreshing source of known material. I truly was inspired by this and enjoyed Dawsons' story telling skills. No one will out this down without enjoying the final message.

Hours That Counted, Eternally,

This review is from: A Walk with Christ to the Cross: The Last Fourteen Hours of His Earthly Mission (Faith Words) (Paperback)
All hours are not the same and these fourteen hours carry the weight of humanity. Comparisons pale, regardless of what we select. The author makes these hours come alive with vivid detail and interesting insights, including his case study of Judas and of Peter. This volume would make a good companion book for the new believer studying the gospel story for the first time. The author is as interesting in print as he is over the airwaves!

I won this book in a giveaway, and it sat on my bookshelf for months, not because I didn't want to read it; I did, but because I simply did not hav the time with all of the other books I had to read and review. Finally, my schedule was caught up-to-date, and I opened the cover.
Written in a conversational tone with antidotes included, this volume goes into detail on the final fourteen hours of Christ. It begins with an extensive examination of Judas. Another in-depth study centers on Peter. Many chapters conclude with "Lessons to Learn," a nice summary of points made. The reader follows the arrest and trials of Jesus step-by-step, with explanations of Roman and Jewish laws and traditions. A study of the name Jesus is included. This is a good source for anyone interested in the life and death of Christ.

Touching,
This review is from: A Walk with Christ to the Cross: The Last Fourteen Hours of His Earthly Mission (Faith Words) (Paperback)
This is a wonderful book about Christ's journey to the cross. The author takes a look at Holy Week, but really much more than that, he takes a look at the entire life of Christ and the impact that Christ had on His culture and the world at large. This is a great book to read at Easter time to serve as a reminder of what Christ did for us and the price He paid, but it is also good for any time of a year to bring us into grateful remembrance.
