DC Cooper is a Silent Force!,
By
This review is from: Walk the Earth (Audio CD)
DC Cooper the singer from Royal Hunt kills on this cd ( and the other Silent Force cd's ) The melodies, guitars and musicianship is excellent. The production is top quality, every nuance is heard, but the real thrill is DC Coopers singing. If your a fan of Power Metal bands and just plain Heavy Metal this cd is for you..worth the purchase.

Terrific melodic metal album,
By

This album follows a familiar script for melodic metal. It steps in the footprints made by bands like Gamma Ray, Savatage, Allen/Lande and even Dream Theater. The music is decent, but not groundbreaking, which is why I give it 4 stars, not 5, even though I enjoy it greatly. The solos are great, the rhythm guitars are strong, and the drumming/bass is solid as a rock. The album is very well produced. However, the biggest reason I enjoy it so much is DC Cooper's vocals. He's one of the best (if not THE best) out there. His voice is just perfect for this style of music. If you're into melodic metal, I think you'd like this album a great deal.

Another solid release from this great band!,

If you've seen my other reviews for this band, you will see that I hold them in high regard in the power metal genre & for good reason as once again Silent Force puts out another great release! I will say that this album didn't instantly hook me right away compared to the others, but it does start to really pick up from track 5 & on. Also, this sounds like Silent Force's most mature release to date & if they are able to continue making killer songs in this fashion then they can only flourish to bigger & better heights.
