You don't have to like gospel or be Baptist to love this album. The Reverend takes gospel to a whole new level in this reissue of the 1979 release. His command over the choir is so uplifting that I am sure he can inspire just about anyone from any religious sect and infuse them with the divine spirit. This recording has been a favorite of mine for years and was impossible to find after my cassette copy had finally worn out. So I was thrilled to see this amazing Sony reissue. They did a nice job in preserving the original recording and I recommend it to anyone who likes gospel music or see where Nick Cave gets his inspiration. In the words of Rev. Cleveland, , "Nobody taught me about stage presence, I just try to be with people on their level. I feel like people like folk who talk about everyday problems and shared experiences, rather than trying to be glamorous. I try to talk to them (audiences) and give them hope that things are going to get better. I think I can talk to people on their level because people are just people"

This is a very good collection of Gospel inspirational music. "I Walk With God" is a fantastic song. Along with the other songs...I especially like "Lord, Do It For Me".

All were wonderfully made and recorded very well.

Again, I don't go one day without hearing my Gospel music by the former Reverend James Cleveland, who is so very dearly missed but we know he will be appointed the organist/piano when the King arrives. : )

I was trying to find "Lord Do it for me" for my friend. She loved the song and we had not been able to find it locally. She is very pleased with the sound and quality of the music. The price was great too. This selection will bring her many hours of great joy! Thank You!

Dr Cleveland is an inspiring minster. Not only in preaching

but sanging to those good old down home gospel songs really

wins you over to God.
