A Woodstocker Wanna Be, January 12, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: A Walk on the Moon (Audio CD)
When I saw this movie, I just knew I had to get this soundtrack. Music is from two genres of the time: the clean- housewifey-music, and the hippie-Woodstock music, to reflect Pearl's and Walker's backgrounds, respectively. I have to say, though, that whoever thought to keep Richie Havens' "Freedom" off the soundtrack made a poor decision. I made another copy of the cd and added the song myself by downloading it from the web. I now feel it is complete and I have it on continuous play on my surround sound, staring at my lava lamp and wishing for the first time in my life that I were older so that I could have been a part of this great era of music.

Not the complete soundtrack...and so expensive!, July 21, 2006
This review is from: A Walk on the Moon (Audio CD)
As some of the other reviewers noted, this CD is not a complete soundtrack. And why are they charging so much on top of that? From memory I can list: More (Bobby Darin), For Your Love (Ed Townsend), The Israelites (Desmond Dekker), Freedom (Richie Havens), Purple Haze (Jimi Hendrix Experience), and Subterranean Homesick Blues (Bob Dylan). Some of you might want to burn a CD with these added as well. Anyway, they could have made a complete soundtrack for this fine film.

Love Love this CD, August 25, 2003
This review is from: A Walk on the Moon (Audio CD)
I saw the movie and was captivated by the sights and sounds of the era. I bought this CD. I am a generation X baby, a baby of a baby boomer, and had never heard any of this music before and loved it. All the songs are sultry, sexy, thought provoking, and timeless. Each song draws you in to the mood individual mood of freedom and love that's the sunnyside of the time!
