Editorial Reviews

Lemmy (Motoread), Slim Jim Phantom (The Stray Cats and rockabilly legend Danny B. Harvey (Rockats, 13 Cats, Lonesome Spurs), have teamed up in a high-energy, take no prisoners combo just to remind the world how Rock n Roll is supposed to f*ckin sound. Forget all those rock posers, who have nothing new to say, passing themselves off as the real thing. When it come to real Rock n Roll these three guys have lived it breathed it, bled it and have set the lifestyle example that all you rebels, rockers and outcasts should strive to follow! You have seen the light now come over to the darkside.........we bring you HeadCat!

The following is a list of things for which to be grateful: adequate food, water, and shelter; the love of family and friends; a sense of purpose in life; and, Lemmy.

Thank goodness that HeadCat, the rockabilly outfit made up of Lemmy, Slim Jim Phantom, and Danny B. Harvey, have released a follow-up to their first album. Walk the Walk...Talk the Talk mines the same vein of Fifties rock with some added touches, such as two original numbers and some forays into Sixties rock (The Beatles' "You Can't Do That" and the Cream interpretation of Robert Johnson's "Crossroads"). The musicianship is spirited, and bassist/vocalist Lemmy sounds like he's having the time of his life.

There is honestly not a weak track on this twelve song set, but there are numerous high points. "Shakin' All Over" rivals the Who's Live at Leeds version. It is a blast hearing avowed Beatlemaniac Lemmy tear through "You Can't Do That" and "Bad Boy," a Larry Williams tune covered by the Fab Four. On "It'll Be Me," ol' Lem outdoes Jerry Lee himself.

This album is a positively fun listen. At just under thirty minutes, it is short, but you won't mind playing it again. Absolutely recommended.

This cd kicks a** from beginning to end. Not a weak track in the bunch. I can't stop listening to it. Not gonna get into details about what's so good about it. If you're reading this, you already know what to expect. My only complaint, and it's a big one, is 29 minutes doesn't cut it. It just doesn't. Buy it anyway, it's that good.

Between this release on Niji Entertainment and The Rods, I'm in heaven! The cool swing of rockabilly, peppered with Lemmy's whiskey kissed vocals and you've got some rockin' fun! LOVE, love, love... Yea, did I mention that I love this CD??

A really good produced cd with several high quality songs. I have got many positive feedbacks from friends who wonders where i have bought this item because they think it's THAT good!!

If you like that rockabilly tunes and love the voice of Lemmy this item should be in your shopping cart YESTERDAY :-)
I should mention that i'm probably the biggest Motorhead-fan in the world, so i know what i'm talking about in refference to Lemmy.

Rock-and-Roll played by guys who really know what it's about. They must have a total blast performing these songs live. Uninspired but clear and simple production. Really nice track selection.
