4.0 out of 5 stars Most of this anthology rocks! March 13, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Most of the stories in this completely rock. But some of them stray from some of the rules of the universe that we learn through the book. I'm not sure how much policing Mr. Sawyer did with some of the guest writers' work, but there are some inconsistencies in the material that bugged me a little. Having said that, the overall theme and idea of this universe is very cool, most of the writers in here are ones I've read and listened to many times in other works.

3.0 out of 5 stars Heated to room temperature November 10, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Walk the Fire was only luke warm for me. There were some good stories and some blah stories. I liked the concept, even enjoyed some of the stories but I never really felt I knew any of the characters. I found I read one story and put the book down. Then I would come back later to read another, and put the book down again. Repeat several times. It was a difficult collection to finish for that reason. Find my review disjointed? Then you'll probably find this collection the same.

5.0 out of 5 stars A package of some of the best indie authors October 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This book is a real treat. Many of my favorite indie authors have joined to create this weave of amazing stories. John Mierau's new universe seems to have been a playground that inspired these fantastic authors. The stories they've created have all this common starting point, but the directions they each took are fascinating. It's more than an anthology in my eyes : it's a saga.
