Editorial Reviews

The White Tie Affair is a pop rock/electronica band from Chicago, Illinois. The members consist of: Sean-P (guitar), Chris Wallace (vocals), Tim McLaughlin (drums), Ryan Cook (bass), and Ryan McClain (keyboard). In early 2007, the band signed with Epic Records/Slightly Dangerous.. Their debut album, Walk This Way contains the singles "Allow Me To Introduce Myself...Mr. Right" and "Candle (Sick and Tired)". Produced by Matt Mahaffey and Jeff Turzo of Wired All Wrong, the album was recorded at Annetenna Studios in Burbank, CA. in the fall of 2007. The music videos for "Mr. Right" and "Candle (Sick and Tired") debuted on No Good TV in the spring of 2008 and were also featured on MTV's TRL. The uncut director's version of the two videos reached 400,000 views on YouTube, and was the most watched YouTube video on March 29, 2008!

5.0 out of 5 stars The #1 Most Amazing Underdog Band!, July 19, 2008

I can't believe I am the first to review this album. It's a sad fact considering this is the best pop/rock/alternative album of the year in my opinion! The music arrangements are hard-hitting and effective, while the singer's vocal prowess is unquestionable. The boy has pipes! If you like bands like "Panic at the Disco" you will most certainly love The White Tie Affair.

4.0 out of 5 stars Q: What do you get when you cross Justin Timberlake with Panic! at the Disco?, October 7, 2008

A: You get The White Tie Affair.
The pop/post-punk blend is a good mix. The pop influence on a lot of the tracks make you want to dance, like "Allow Me to Introduce Myself...". It maintains its punk influence in the heavy guitars and drum beats in the choruses. If you liked early Panic! at the Disco, this is an album definitely worth getting. It's a steal at the $4.99 it's priced at now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just WOW, August 20, 2009
This review is from: Walk This Way (Audio CD)
I listened to the song previews on amazon and I was instantly hooked! All of the tracks are amazing! They each have their own unique melodies and none ever sound repetitive. This is one of the few albums I can listen to track-by-track without skipping any songs. If I had to pick my favorites songs -even though all are great- they'd be:

"Allow Me To Introduce Myself...Mr. Right" -I just feel like I'm at some modern masquerade ball. :P
"Candle (Sick and Tired)" -I feel like this is their trademark song. It incorporates great rhythm and lyrics.
"Watching You" -Probably my favorite track.
"The Way Down" -Just love his voice on this one. It's one of their slower songs and it's just such a great ending track.

In conclusion, buy this album! I recommend it to anyone who wants to listen to refreshing, original and extremely catchy music.
Can't wait for more to come. :)
