This is one of my favorite Jon Schmidt albums to listen to all the way through. It is perfectly balanced with some of his low-key easy going songs placed against some up beat delights, like Waterfall, for example. A great listen for ears of any age.

This CD keeps up with the excellent quality you can expect from Jon Schmidt. He always keeps it entertaining, relaxing, and gorgeous. He is extremely talented and I have never been disappointed by any of his CD's I have bought.

when I heard this album, it inspired my to take piano lessons at age 28. Now 10 years later, I am still enjoying listening, and playing a bit better than when I started.

Jon Schmidt's music is always a favorite of our whole family. All of our children enjoy listening to his CD's. His music is relaxing, inspirational, and beautiful! We took our children to see him in concert and they loved it! Jon is a phenomenal performer and a great entertainer! He is one of our favorites! We can't say enough good about Jon Schmidt's music!

I am a piano teacher and have found Jon Schmidt's music to be the best motivation I can find to get 12-16 year olds practicing the piano because they want to. I have started offering incentives for my students to win tickets to his concerts. Going to one of his concerts has done more to encourage practicing than anything else. They decide they are willing to play songs that are more difficult than their current level, just because the songs are fun to play.

Personally, I love to play his music! On exceedingly stressful days, I play "A Day in the Sunset" and lie down with my eyes closed...... aaaahhhhhh! My personal favorites are "Morning Light," and "Sacred Groud."

I have been listening to and playing Jon Schmidt's piano solos for more than ten years. Walk in the Woods is the first album I owned and even now, it is a perfect bunch of songs. His songs are not only clever, but they are a joy both to hear and to play. They range from rhythmic to soothing. I recommend anything by Jon Schmidt, and if you get a chance to go to a concert, it is well worth the time.

As a pianist, a music educator, and a regular itunes addict I absolutely LOVE all of Jon Schmidt's music. It is original, refreshing and entertaining as is he. If you're privileged to see him in concert don't pass it up! I highly recommend all of his albums and books to anyone who wants to find a new favorite!

I was introduced to John by a friend who took me to a concert. Not only was I impressed with his music and his amazing ability to play, but the passion was outstanding. Every song seemed to have a theme, and I felt it as he played. Equally impressive is this album, which you can almost imagine him playing as you listen. There is a broad array of songs - everything from the songs (Wterfal) that leave you wondering how someone can move their fingers so quickly, to the heart-touching 'Tribute', dedicated to a sister you passed on. Each song has a story in the insert, and when you listen to this album, you not only hear it, but you feel it. Mr. Schmidt is in a class of his own, owning a unique playing style. If you've never owned one of his albums, I would recommend you start with this one.

I had a great oppurtunity of attending a concert of his. It was amazing. The CD is almost as good as the real deal. A must for new age classical piano lovers.

A great CD by a wonderful new composer. I always found much of classical piano rather lukewarm-- great for a few minutes but soon it all sounds alike. Schmidt shows this doesn't have to be the case.
After listening to the CD a few times I feel a bit inspired to try to learn something about music theory.
