Good Orthotic, Great Price,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've owned (a well known, brand name) orthotics for years. You know what, Walk Fit orthotics are just as good and a fraction of their price. I can now afford to have multiple pairs of orthotics instead of having one pair and changing them from shoe to shoe. One of the reviewers stated how uncomfortable they are. I'm going to guess that he has flat feet just like I do. When I initially started wearing orthotics 5 years ago, it felt like I was walking on a golf ball cut in half and stuck in my shoe. It took me a month or more to get use to them. If you have severely flat feet, don't expect them to feel comfortable right away. The instructions tell you to gradually build up to wearing them for a full day over time. Now, I wear them from sunrise to sundown. Although self diagnosed, I believe I was suffering from Morton's Neuroma. The orthotics immediately took away the nerve pain and as a added benefit, helped my knee pain too. All I know is that they work and the price is 7 times less than another store name brand.

Great for Plantar Fascitis,
By These orthotics provide optimal arch support, not the cushy comfort of the traditional shoe inserts on the market. They are for those who truly need the support of an orthotic, as they may be tough to break in for those looking only for comfort. I recommend them to those suffering with foot pain or to active individuals looking to appropriately offload pressure.

I got used to them, they help,

I've had these for a few weeks now, it did take several days to get used to them, and even early in the day my feet take a few minutes to get used to them again, but after a full day of wearing them around the house, or even walking through airports in dress shoes, I wouldn't want anything else.I've had custom made orthotics in the past, and bought every variety of insoles and orthotics that you find in the drugstore aisles, and none provided this kind of support or durability. They feel like the custom orthotics did, but those were carbon fiber so there wasn't much give, and eventually they broke from using in sports. So I am happy with these, worth the money, but it's a very subjective thing, some feet just won't like orthotics like this.

Try them out - do it properly,

I can understand why some people don't like these and why you may see bad reviews of WalkFits. If you put them in your shoe and you don't have the proper padding they WILL be uncomfortable. Be sure to lift out the entire pad in your shoe - no matter how thick it is or how difficult it is to pull it out. If you wreck it you can always buy a new pad. You may even want to get a thin gel pad to put over the WalkFit, under the inner shoe lining if there is little or no padding. That's what I did with my sandals. Believe it or not with both the WalkFit and the gel under my shoe liner, it cannot be seen even though the back of the sandal exposes my heel. If you want to do it with flat backed ladies sandals, however, I don't think it would work. I would only do it with those that have a slight lip that cups the heel. I think they may look silly if they are completely flat, such as flip flop type or dress sandals. I have two pairs of WalkFits and I need more.I ALMOST returned mine because they were so uncomfortable before I tried pulling out the entire padding (not just the top liner) in my shoe and putting it under. I really had to rip it out and I thought I was destroying my sandal while I was doing it, but didn't. The pad stayed intact and I was able to reuse. These things really do work. I can be on my feet all day lifting heavy objects and my feet won't hurt. If you've ever worn a really good hiking or expensive work boot with a lot of support it will feel like that. (Before the WalkFits I had contemplated LIVING in my hiking boots because they were the only shoes that were comfortable. Kind of hard to go to a wedding in them, though!) I have heel spurs and thought I would require surgery but my feet feel great now. I won't leave the house without WalkFits in my shoes. If the shoe won't accommodate them, I get rid of them or won't buy them. I'm sure they are made out of the type material they are because they have a lifetime guarantee, are washable and are somewhat flexible. They also won't stink. I encourage people to work with them and try a way to make them fit properly and comfortably.

My personal experience has been that these inexpensive shoe inserts saved me hundreds of dollars, possible surgery, and a great deal of pain. The foot pain came on very suddenly. Intense pain in the arch in front of the heal. Much worse in the morning when rising from bed. I did not visit a doctor, instead I researched on-line. My diagnosis, plantar fasciitis. I tried soft shoe inserts from the drug store. No help. I visited a local store called Good Feet and found that their thin plastic shoe inserts cost $300 and up. I would have bought them on the spot if I could have been absolutely certain they would stop the pain. Then I saw the infomercials on TV. Basically the same product Good Feed sold, but for $30. Why not try a pair? They worked for me, the stabbing pain went away. At first the inserts were not comfortable, but the intense pain was gone, the discomfort was bearable. After several weeks, the discomfort went away too. My conclusion: if you have researched the problem and plantar fasciitis seems the likely cause of your pain, spend $30 and try a pair. If your problem is not Plantar fasciitis, they probably won't help you and you will have wasted the money. There have been several bad reviews on this product causing me to reach another conclusions: Buy them thru Amazon (not off the TV ad). You can trust Amazon to help you if you pay for the product and it does not arrive or it is damaged. (Amazon can't help you if your self diagnosis is wrong and the product doesn't relieve your pain. In that case see your doctor.) My order was placed on Wednesday, the product arrived the following Tuesday. This was my second pair. Switching them from shoe to shoe was getting tiresome so I opted for two sets.

Almost Every Claim By Walk Fit Is Fraudulent,
By
This review is from: WalkFit Orthotic Insoles - Size B (Health and Beauty)
Ordered WalkFit inserts for myself and my fiancee. Followed their instructions for about 10 days (3 days past their "break in" period). I couldn't wait to get them out of my shoes by the end of the day. Foot adjusted somewhat, but not that much. Same with my fiancee. Decided to return them.Sent them back via UPS with deliver confirmation and signature. Walk Fit received them back in mid-September, 2005. No refund given as of yet. No returned emails or phone calls to customer service. Bottom line: WalkFit doesn't live up to ANY of their statements, including their refund policy. I should have known better at the time to buy something off of the TV, but I learned my lesson again.

Easy on the feet,

When I got my Walk Fit inserts, I tried the medium pads because I thought I had a high arch. I ended up with the low pads because they felt the best. They are very comfortable, but I have low back trouble and thought it would help ease my back pain. They haven't, but they do make walking easier on my feet and legs. I do recommend them if you stand or walk a lot. I don't take my shoes off until I go to bed at night.

I am in the 40's. I developed a knee problem starting in my late 30's and I was afraid of walking on stairs. I also had sore arches when I began to play raquetball two and half years ago. I tried various insole pads and sports creams, which didn't work. One day I saw the infomercial and ordered one pair. I have worn them ever since because they have taken pain off my knees and soles completely. Now I can play hard on the court thanks to them.
