5.0 out of 5 stars Contains Everything A "Thinker" Has "Thunk"
Imagine every subject of concern contained within the spectrum of modern life experiences all wrapped up in one coherent story! That's exactly what Gregory Greene accomplishes in "Walkabout".

Worries over the Ecology, Economy, Political Systems, Religious Systems, Society, and yes, even Personal Relationships are all presented in a common sense, "non-preachy"...

3.0 out of 5 stars One man's thoughts about the end times
I met the author of "Walkabout" through the blogosphere. I found out that he had written a book based on bible prophecy, and that immediately got my attention since that is a major area of interest and study. This review is from: Walkabout: The Story of a Brief Century (Kindle Edition)
I met the author of "Walkabout" through the blogosphere. I found out that he had written a book based on bible prophecy, and that immediately got my attention since that is a major area of interest and study. I could also identify with his expressed motive, "...to popularize the Book of Revelation and explain the Christian faith as I see it to non-theologians...." The story follows one man's spiritual journey to faith during the end times and gives evidence of the author's broad knowledge base in science and technology. Along the way he falls in love, makes many new friends, and experiences God's love and supernatural provision and protection through the dangers he encounters in the frightening new world order. My only hesitation in recommending this book is through a concern I have regarding many of the author's conclusions concerning biblical truth with which I do not agree. It's those "non-theologians" or those who aren't familiar with scripture with whom I am concerned and would not want to be part of misleading according to the truth of scripture as I understand it. We agree, however, on the most important truth of salvation through faith in Jesus. With that caveat, I can say that the story is well written, creative, entertaining and thought-provoking.

At the "end" you discover it's not about all these secular worries we have, but about FAITH!

... very enjoyable!
