5.0 out of 5 stars 60 Inch Regal TV Stand with Mount, October 15, 2009
After spending hours looking at options for a TV stand or wall mount, I came to the decision to get a TV stand with a mount built in (because I live in an apartment). This is without a doubt the best choice in this category. It took me no more than 2 hours from the time I opened it until it was put together. The directions are pretty straightforward, even though I messed up a couple of times and had to backtrack. You can probably reduce the time it takes to build this by 50% if you have another person helping. Also, I HIGHLY recommend the 60" version over the 42" one. It is definitely worth the extra money. My 50" flat screen goes perfect with this stand.

Here are the pros:

- The parts were very well packed
- Looks sturdy, quality material. This should last me my entire lifetime...
- Simple, easy to follow directions. Everything is labeled.
- A plethora of screws/bolts for TV mounting options (your TV is almost sure to have the correct mounting screws included)
- The mount is the best mount I've ever used. The mount is made to be very easily adjustable. It tilts vertically, as well as horizontally. It will not, however, slide side-to-side (horizontally) or up and down (vertically), but the tilting options are more than enough.
- BEAUTIFUL STAND
- Plenty of space

Cons
- I've noticed dust collecting on the glass after a few days. I have a micro fiber cloth nearby now, and I'll probably have to make it a task to wipe it down real quick once a week. Not really much of a con though.
- It may take a little trial and error to get your TV on the stand at the desired height. You can eliminate the trial and error by doing some simple measuring/guesstimation though.
- Fingerprints might be a problem for people with kids.
- Might need extra washers. They gave me the exact number of washers that I needed, and I almost lost one when I dropped it.

Other things
Make sure you have plenty of space to put it together, and set aside a couple of hours to put it together. I have the TV the highest it will go (without allowing the mount to be visible) and there is about 7-8 inches from the top layer of glass to the bottom of my TV. This allows space for a quality center channel speaker to be placed directly under the TV. Lastly, if you're looking for a home theater system to go with this stand check out EMP Tek. Their Impression series speakers (in red burl color) match this stand perfectly; They will blow any mainstream brand speakers out of the water, too.

I can't really say enough about this stand. I have gotten comments on it from every last person that's seen it. I'm very happy with my purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great TV Stand, January 19, 2010
Purchased this 42" stand a few weeks ago. Was easy to assemble, Looks Great, Sturdy. I mounted my 50" Plasma on it, it extends beyond the stand a few inches on each side, but looks like they were made for each other. A great addition to my living room. The only suggestion I would have is maybe a couple of small rings welded on the inside of the rec. tubes of the cable management system so you could "zip tie" the cables so they would stay inside. Other than that minor thing, I would recommend this product to anyone. It's funny, I was in Walmart the other day, noticed a couple looking at a TV stand that was similar but much inferior in it's design. I suggested they look on Amazon for this one, lower cost, much heavier designed, even heavier glass shelving. They thanked me very much and walked away. I think people need a good deal once in a while, and I do this every chance I get. Like I said, this is a great product, and I don't think you can find a better quality TV stand for the money. I would not hesitate to use this stand for up to a 54" or possibly a 60" TV. Depends on the space you have, the larger 60" version may work better for a larger TV if you have the room for it, my space was somewhat limited and the 42" version worked quite well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Functional Stand, November 16, 2010
I purchased this stand for use with a 63 inch television and several components. First, I did not assemble the unit personally, but instead had two professionals do so for me. I was in the room the entire time and can say that it took them about an hour working at a leisurely pace while we talked about numerous topics. For them, this was not a difficult assembly. I had them mount the television on the included mount at the highest position. The height of the TV is just shy of 36 inches and when mounted left approximately 4 inches to the top shelf. This was not sufficient for my 7 inch high center channel speaker. You could place components there whose heights are less than approximaetly 4 inches. However, modification of the stand to raise it was not particularly difficult. In essence, they moved the mount from its position on the floor and raised it several inches up to the next bolt holes. The remaining holes match up perfectly. Slightly concerned this might make the stand a little top-heavy(my TV weighs 88 pounds)because the mount is no longer on the floor, they used L brackets to attach the rear of the stand to the floor. This arrangement provides great stand stability and gives complete usage of the top shelf. Although the TV is a little higher than ideal eye level, the stand allows a 15 degree tilt and by using that feature, it sits almost perfectly while allowing the center channel speaker to rest directly beneath it creating very realistic dialog. It can also swivel in either direction. This stand is of good quality materials. Glass shelves are of 3 different thickness levels with the top glass being thicker and the bottom, which has support from the base being the thinnest. Support for all shelves could be improved somewhat but should not be a problem if weight limits are observed. In addition to that concern these are other areas where improvement is needed: the shelves are not deep enough to accommodate medium to large AV receivers (or other similarly sized components)-they will hang out over the front edge. Further, the height between the shelves needs to be increased. If you intend to place any component higher than 6 and 3/4 inches on the bottom shelf, fergettaboutit. Middle shelf will give you between 7 and 9 inches of height depending on whether the component is placed against or behind the front ledge. You should have no problems (space wise) with DVD players, satellite receivers or components less than 18 inches in depth. Overall, an attractive and functional stand of good quality, including nice features (several mounting options, tilt and swivel ability). But you need to carefully measure your components and TV and decide how you wish to mount it before ordering this stand. You really don't want to have to struggle with sending this 118 pound behemoth back because it won't accommodate your stuff.

This stand fits my needs to a tee and is flexible enough so I can make a change in the future if I should need to do so. It arrived very quickly and in excellent condition. It is very heavy and I did need another person to help me carry it into the house. It comes with a multitude of parts but it is easy to understand how to assemble the unit. I supervised my 11 year old grandson and watched him assemble it in about an hour. (my supervision consisted of making sure all the nuts and bolts were tight and to double check the pieces were assembled in the correct order, other than that things went very well) There were no parts shortages, in fact we had a few bolts left over in most cases.
I chose to have the unit with the TV attached rather than mounting the TV to the wall or using the stand that came with the TV set. It has many adjustments so you can move the TV to different positions on the stand to suit the place you set it up in your room.
It looks beautiful and it is very sturdy and functional. I mounted a 46" TV without any trouble. The wires run up the back of the unit out of sight making for a clean uncluttered look in the room. The glass is very heavy and very dark and needs to be dusted on a regular basis but you would expect to do that anyway I would think.
I am very pleased with the unit and the price at Amazon which included free shipping was outstanding. I would certainly recommend it to my friends and many of them have remarked on how nice the unit looks after they have seen it in person.

5.0 out of 5 stars Looks great, sturdy, and small package, January 12, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Walker Edison Regal 42-Inch 4-in-1 TV Stand with Mount, Wood/Black (Kitchen)
The box was packaged great; nothing was damaged inside the box. The glass panels are inside their own smaller box inside the large one. It takes about an hour to assemble the whole thing. It certainly helps to have a second pair of hands to put it together and it's required to mount the TV. I would suggest that you read the instructions first to know how it's all pieced together and find the pieces, saves time. The parts are all placed into small plastic boxes. One of them has the part numbers marked, making it easy to find the screws. It also comes with a ton of screws, metal, and rubber washers for mounting different types of TVs.

The wood part of the stand is made from real wood which is hard to find and it looks great. Its 42inches wide but it's about 20 inches deep; I consider that to be a small footprint. Mounting the TV to back frame was real easy. The mount can be adjusted up/down and side/side views. This can be done if you mount it on the stand or the wall. I mounted a 27 inch LCD for now, a 46 inch LCD is set for the future. The mounting holes are plentiful. My LCD mounting is 100mm x 100mm, the TV mount had one more hole setting smaller than that. The mount ranges are 470mm top to bottom and 640mm left to right.

The shelves are made from glass with a black liner on the bottom, they look great. The shelves are not adjustable. I was able to fit my rack stereo receiver in the bottom shelf with 1/4 to 1/2 inch space on top. Since it's an open shelf, I'm not worried about heating issues. There are holes in the back frame to fit the cabling for each shelf. I wish the holes were larger or have two holes for each shelf. The cable management as they call is just the holes and wire mesh back frame. It gives the stand a cleaner look but you still have a cable mess behind that.

Once it's was assebled, it looked great. The wood has a cherry wood like color. It certainly looks like much more expensive than it is. Given that you get the TV mount along with the stand, it's a great deal. The 4-in-1 stands for the following: TV on stand base, TV mounted on wall, TV mounted on stand, 1 TV mounted on wall & 1 TV on stand base. I don't know how the customer service is; I didn't have a reason to call them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Easy setup and quality materials, but terrible wobble, June 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Walker Edison Regal 42-Inch 4-in-1 TV Stand with Mount, Wood/Black (Kitchen)
Overall the stand is very elegant and looks very high quality. I mounted it with option 1, the stand and the attached tv mount. The materials are excellent quality although the first wooden piece I pulled out of the carton was damaged. The packaging and instructions are excellent for option 1. The screws and bolts came labeled in the package and all of the parts were marked with a corresponding letter in the instructions. Overall was very easy to setup, took less than 45 minutes. The problem came at the end when I put the stand on a flat surface. There was a terrible wobble, one side was about an inch higher than the other. I then loosened all of the screws on the stand and had to push the part and hold them in place and then tighten the screws. This has mostly fixed the problem, but there is still a little wobble. I have not mounted the tv to the stand yet, but i am hoping that the weight of the tv, cable box, ps3, etc will help with the wobble. I recommend not tightening the bolts and screw for the stand and the cable management system until the end to help with the wobble.

Pros: -easy to assemble and great instructions.
-looks high quality and the materials feel like they are high quality
-42" size is perfect for a corner and very good styling
-cable management system looks very good

Cons: -Damaged wooden piece (although the instructions included contact info
for in case you had a damaged or missing item. I chose to put it together
anyway because the damage was on the inside and not viewable from the front)
-wobbles with nothing to adjust at the bottom corners
-bare metal at the bottom of the cable management system contacts the floor
(I have wood floors and do not wish to slide the stand around to prevent
scratches)

5.0 out of 5 stars Very pleased, July 5, 2010
I searched extensively for a good looking and sturdy stand suitable for a Sharp 60" LCD TV. I wanted the stand to be no larger than necessary for the TV and associated cable box, DVD player, video game machines, etc. Also, I wanted rounded corners and the ability to rotate and tilt the screen when desired.

This stand met my needs and exceeded my expectations. The 60" LCD was mounted in its highest location (I used the "TV mount attached to the stand" configuration). There is 4.5" of clearance between the top glass shelf and the TV's lower edge, giving usable space for electronics or whatever. The widest dimension of the top glass shelf is 1" wider than the TV screen, so the size is a "match" in my opinion.

All parts were present, assembly was easy, the unit is strong, and the appearance is top notch. The glass shelves seem plenty strong enough for my needs.

I still need to arrange my cables better as they remain somewhat visible.

I would recommend this stand.

Using this to mount a Samsung 50" 720p 600Hz Plasma HDTV PN50B450. I researched stands for a couple months and found nothing to compare to this in the price range. My wife was dead set against the chrome and black look of most stands available with this configuration and loves the cherry finish of this stand. I was originally going to buy the 42" Samsung Plasma (PN42B450) but it was out of stock (purchased elsewhere - newegg). I considered the 60" version of this stand to go with the larger TV but we live in a Condo and that was not a good option. I am happy to say that this stand works very well with the larger 50" TV. We have the TV mounted directly to the stand and they look like they were made for each other. The cherry finish and the black glass shelves are attractive and look very good in our living room.

The stand was packaged well, it shipped with everything necessary to put it together, as well as tons of extra hardware for different TVs and mounting options (i.e. wall mounting the TV). The assembly instructions were terse but certainly adequate. I put it together myself in about an hour but I did get the wife's help to hang the TV at the end. There were a couple early steps that would have been easier with another set of hands but no big deal at all.

Overall I am extremely happy with this TV stand, I would highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Value for 60" stand, April 13, 2011
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've noticed that the Amazon price seems to fluctuate but is usually more than 50% cheaper than retail, which is a great value!

The stand was very well packed with wood on the sides to keep the box from bending and plenty of foam around parts and glass. It was also very easy to put together with quality parts. The stand comes with a variety of bolts, screws, and nuts for different mounting options along with a small flat wrench and two hex wrenches. Glass for the top and middle shelf are very thick with a black mirrored finish. The bottom glass has the same finish but not as thick as the other two. It also comes with a furniture touch up marker that can be used to cover any scratches you might get on the wood.

NOTE: The posts used to hold the middle shelf on the back of the front legs should only be hand tightened! The larger hex wrench fits into these posts and I made the mistake of tightening them with the wrench, which caused the front to pop out slightly. The directions DO NOT tell you to tighten them with the wrench, I did this on my own thinking that I wanted them tight; however, they just need to be hand tightened. I was able to flatten the bumps with a rubber mallet and it looks fine... but wish I hadn't used the wrench.

All of my components fit on the shelves but it was a very tight fit for my receiver. Many of the older receivers are pretty large so this is something to consider if looking to buy this. The bottom shelf has 6 3/4" clearance and the top has 9 3/4" behind the wood front (6 3/4" between middle shelf and bottom of wood front). My receiver needed 7" and just fit on the top behind the wood front, but there was plenty of room for everything else. The depth is about 15" in the middle tapering to a shorter depth on the ends.

I mounted a 64" Samsung plasma TV on the attached mount, which gave me about 2 1/2" clearance from the bottom of the TV to the top of the stand. Not quite what the manufacturer recommends (4" all the way around) but there is plenty of clearance and I'm not worried about overheating.

Overall I'm very happy with this stand, it looks great and something that even my wife liked, which is good since she doesn't like most of the stands with attached mounts. Definitely glad I bought this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not just for corners, March 16, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have been looking for the right stand for my 50 inch plasma TV for over a year: the features I needed and the price point just never matched up.
Finally found the one I needed in the 60 inch model of this stand, and it was cheaper than the 40 inch version of this model.
Arrived in the afternoon, packed well, glass was in perfect shape, and before 7 PM I was watching 'A Scanner Darkly' on Blu ray, and that counts the time it took me to assemble this stand, unplug ALL of my home theater components, attach the TV, plug everything back up, and eat a snack.
My ex-wife was (probably still is) addicted to IKEA, so maybe I've assembled more than my fair share of furniture and I had no problems with putting this together. Until I got to the part where I had to attach the tilting brackets to my TV: I have had it for a year and could not find the hardware that came with it for attaching it to a stand and the screws in the back were too short. Lucky for me that included with this stand is a couple of blister packs of hardware for mounting and I found the exact size bolts and washers that I needed. So, after that small panic attack I was back in business.
Couple of notes-
1: All the customer photos show the stand in a corner, but mine functions and looks great against my wall. I uploaded 2 photos of mine.
2: I used a stubby Phillips head screwdriver: it's easier to control and that reduces the chance of it slipping and scratching either the wood or metal.
3: I didn't use the small wrench that's included because my cat hid it under the couch, so if your cat is also as devious as mine a 7/16 box or open-ended wrench fits. You only need it for this step so you could probably use a pair of pliers, but this holds your TV to the stand and I wanted to know I did it right.
4: It was easier for me to place the glass on the stand starting with the bottom one first and working up, which is the opposite of the directions. No clue why, but then I also look at magazines from the back page when I first pick one up. Also, the lower 2 pieces of glass are the same size but different thicknesses: the thinner one goes closer to the floor.
Overall, I don't see how I could be more satisfied with this stand, unless it came with the Lord of the Rings Trilogy extended version on Blu ray.
Edit 24 March 2011: I keep seeing the price increase on this item since I purchased it, which convinces me even more that I made a smart buy...for once.
