This keeps him warm and cozy but he is able to stand up in his crib.

The Large size will fit her for quite a long time so I am looking into getting her some more.

I ordered both a medium and a large as my daughter is literally right in between both sizes according to the chart (22 lbs). The large could fit a pre-schooler and the medium isn't much better. We used the sleepsacks and swaddlers until she was 6 months and found that as she started to roll around the bag would twist around her. Now that she is standing and learning to walk (12 months), we needed something that she could safely stand in while in her crib. This just tents her. I was expecting something more along the lines of the sleepsacks with regards to size. These were much more expensive at amazon compared to a larger retailer. However, not having a retailer within 4 hours of my home that carries these, I needed something to tide us over until we traveled home for the Holidays. Now I will have to find another solution for my very wiggly and night-active baby.

If you can, I would purchase these in person at a retailer so that you can size your child before purchasing.

EDIT: After washing and drying these on a very hot setting, they did shrink enough to make them usable. I've now had her wear one of the sleep blankets for 2 nights now and she did just fine in them. No more waking up with freezing cold feet and legs, kicking off her blankets, and she can still be as active, mobile, and wiggly as she wishes.

I love HALO microfleece sleepsacks and we own 3 of them. Since my son is now walking, we decided to try the early walker. This sleepsack is cute, the fleece is very soft (compared to the Lime Animal Friends which has a thicker/heavier fleece). But my son likes to twist and turn during sleep and this does not stop him from doing that. After trying both styles, I prefer the regular sleepsack because he cannot twist & turn so he sleeps better at night and taking him out from the sleepsack in the morning to go to the potty is much faster. And the previous reviews were right they do run large, so a Large Early Walker is perfect for a 26 pounds / 18mth old toddler with room to grow.

Great sleep sack, don't have to worry about a blanket in her crib suffocating her. Only thing that is not so great, is that these sacks run very big and I have had to roll the legs for her! Other than that, its a great product!

I think the idea is to make it so big that the baby's entire body can be
fitted in, with her legs stretching out a little bit.
But it's unnecessary to incorporate the whole body if put on top of a footed PJ.
My child is 22 months old I bought a medium size it still looks huge.
She's a normal sized baby, weights around 22-23 lbs.
Medium size is for child under 24 lbs, large size is for 22 lbs to 26 lbs.
Doesn't make much sense for buying large size for two very close weight groups.

This is a fine product, as other Halo sleep sacks are, but I shouldn't have listened to other comments on the size. I ordered small and, while I can that initial reaction is "this thing is huge!", our little guys feet sneak through on a regular basis which means I usually only use this when he's wearing footed pjs (which is not that often).

Love this sleep sack. It's so adorable on my 15mo little boy! He is warm, cozy, cute and with his feet able to stick out the bottom, he can walk around too. I also don't worry about him getting too warm because he will stick his feet out and pull his socks off if he is. I ordered the large and although it does have quite a bit of material bunched at the bottom when he's walking, I don't mind because he'll probably be able to wear this until he's 2! Infact I had one of these for my daughter and she did wear her large one till she was 2 1/2. Love it.

We love the HALO sleepsacks. The microfleece sleepsacks are perfect when the temperature outside is under 45 degrees. They are lightweight and so do not inhibit movement, but are also warm. I would definitely recommend buying a size smaller than the label suggests. Our daughter is 18 months, 31 inches tall, and 22 pounds. We bought the size large, and it is pretty big. We bought a second one in a size medium and the fit is more what we expected. However, she stills wears the size large, especially on super cold nights because we can tuck her feet into it better. This product washes very well and is of a great quality.

I love the original sleep sack and value the product idea. But my 10 month old likes to stand in her crib and gets her legs caught in the sack and it's creating a hazard. All pajamas I found won't work for us (they're too hard to get her legs in and out of for midnight diaper changes, of which she has many), and then I stumbled upon this product and thought "perfect!" I bought the large of this product and it honestly could've fit a 6 year old, so i returned it to amazon and got the medium (I did check the product dimensions the second time around and thought it would work). It doesn't. I don't know why Halo doesn't make a small size for this product. Maybe I misinterpret the term "early walker" but to me it sounds like a product for maybe a one year old, you know, babies that are early in their walking? This product is so large my daughter swims in it, and she's long, even for a 10 month old. But I can't go back to a traditional sleep sack becuase even with a large she'd still step on it and possibly injure herself by tripping, even in her crib. So I'm gonna make it work. But please, Halo, make it smaller. It would be a great transitional product. Also, it would be great if it also came in light cotton, like you make available for the Sleepsack and swaddler. Other than than, great quality.
