Customer Reviews

The material is very soft.
ChellyL
The medium fits ok, it's still a bit big, she has plenty of room to grow, it'll fit her for a long time to come.
Robert C. Busby
It is easy for little ones to walk around and move in.

This early walker sleep sack is huge! I bought the large size based on my baby's height and weight (over 30" tall and around 22lbs), so I thought this would be ideal. I know that these sleep sacks are usually quite roomy having purchased a couple of wearable blankets before but I'm 5'8" and I could of fit in the body of it! I think even a medium would be too big for him. Really this early walker in large is for a much older/bigger child. Nothing wrong with the quality or delivery but I would definitly go a size down if you are going to order. I'm giving less stars just for the fact that the sizing suggestion on the packet is way off and I have to now pay for a return delivery.

Clara, I'm sorry for the confusion. The sizing of the SleepSack Early Walker is based on US CDC growth charts. The design intent is to provide enough room in the sack portion so that the child has adequate leg room when their feet are pulled inside it. This dictates the length of the sack be longer than their legs for comfort purposes, of course, but the sack shouldn't interfere with their feet once they're pushed through the foot-holes. At 30 in tall, your son is on the cusp of the size large and medium. I would recommend the size medium. I really wish Halo would make a cotton version of the early walker sleep sack. I bought the polyester knit one thinking it might be a good alternative for warmer weather, and while it was nice and soft when it arrived and after the first wash or two, after a couple of weeks of wear it has started to pill. Very annoyed and disappointed in the fabric. As for the fit, it is the same as the polyester mesh and the fleece ones. My 15 month old is 31.5" and 25 lbs and they 18-24 month fit him with a little room to spare (but he can still walk in them without tripping).

I love the early walker version of the HALO SleepSack. We started using these last Winter when my daughter was 14 months..She couldn't wear the regular sleep sack anymore, because she would stand in the crib and trip in the sack, risking banging her head on the crib. Yet, she wasn't ready for a blanket, because she kicks it off as soon as we put it on her. So this version with leg holes is perfect.

NOTE: everyone complains how huge these are, but I think they are missing the point of the product. 1) width-wise, it should be roomy in the body, or else it would be restrictive for a toddler rolling in their sleep; 2) length-wise, it is meant to be long so you can optionally tuck their legs IN while sleeping to keep the feet warm, but stick legs out if they are walking around

The other HALO sleepers I bought my baby were great, and I'd always loved that they were a soft 100% cotton. I didn't even think to check what material this was because I'd been so impressed with HALO in the past, so I was really disappointed to find out it's polyester when I got it. I sent it back and sure wish the company made one that was all cotton.

I do agree with many reviewers that this sleepsack fits on the bigger side. Our 18mo little one has the large, and she is within the weight specified for that size, but she has a lot of room to grow in it. I love the the fabric is lightweight enough for all seasons (except maybe the hot days of summer) and it will be super cozy in the winter. It really is cute and she snuggles in it the same way she would with a blanket, but she can't kick it off like a blanket. I'd love to see more patterns as we plan on buying more of these instead of more pajamas.

My son is 17 months, and in the 86% for weight and about 70% for height... So as I was reading all the reviews before I bought it saying it runs large... My thoughts were, "sure, because they don't have tall and chunky babies" and ordered the 12-18 (L size) month old size. I even thought it wouldn't even last us through winter, and was tempted to get the XL size. I'm glad I didn't, and have now placed an order for the 6-12 months size, because the L is HUGE!!! As in maybe he will be able to use it when he turns 3! I think I could fit 2 babies in there.
The fabric is soft and it looks comfortable... Hopefully the 6-12 months fits better.

I love this blanket! I'm so happy that my daughter has this to wear to bed. I never have to worry about her being cold or a standard blanket getting all bunched. Yes, it is roomy but I don't mind that. I would highly recommend this to every parent!

I really wish Halo made more patterns for this cotton sleep sack. This is the only one I have found! All the rest of them are this mesh material or fleece, both of which make my girl hot. The tag says XL fits 18-24 months. My little girl is 27 months and has lots of growing room for the XL.
