We bought this for our 10 month old son about a month ago and he absolutely loves it. Some people, for example the author of the famous "Baby Bargains" book, advises against getting these because they are too dangerous (i.e. your kid might walk right down a flight of stairs or something and get seriously injured). This is definitely true, and if you live in a house or place with lots of easily accesible stairs that you can't cover then this toy is probably not for you. In our case, however, we live in a 2 bedroom apartment and don't have any stairs or anything he could walk off of and get hurt so it is okay. Anyway, there is just something magical for a baby about all of a sudden being able to move freely about. Until we got this toy our son could crawl a bit but was mostly stuck in one place. This toy has opened up a whole new exciting world to him! And we were considering between this one and another walker that was double the price but had a lot more attached toys --- in my opinion save your money, skip the toys, and get this one. I don't even know if our son knows that there are toys on this thing, that is so beside the point to him --- the ability to walk around is where it is all at for him (and other babies I would guess). Be prepared to have all of your accesible drawers emptied out and slobbered on however! I also think this one is a nice design, it seems pretty durable (no problems so far in a month of heavy use) and is easy to fold up to take with us (we've even taken him to parks with it to walk around outside). Anyway, in sum if you don't live in a place where there are lot's of open stairs then I couldn't recommend this toy more --- if you do live in such a potentially dangerous place, you might want to err on the side of safety and not get it (or be VERY careful how you use this if you do).

This walker is wonderful! Because so many folks are terrified of allowing children to be children these days, it has gotten almost impossible to find a real walker. Stationary walkers are enormously boring for my daughter - she wants to GO! This is a basic, brown-bag walker. Not too complicated by unneeded features, and does what it is supposed to do perfectly. If you are afraid that your child will fall down the stairs in it, use common sense - put the child downstairs to begin with.

My daughter loved the walker. She used it from the time she was about 5 months old until she was able to push it from behind. She was able to move it well on the carpet too. She was never injured, little damage, if any, was done to our walls or furnishings. Was a wise buy.

Although my 8 month old loves to be in this walker - DO NOT USE THE ACTIVITY BAR. She ripped off one of the teddy bears, and proceeded to BREAK the stem that held the bear on the bar...it easily broke into a piece that was about an inch long - if she wasn't being watched closely, she could have choked on the piece.
POOR MANUFACTURING IF YOU ASK ME.

I love this walker. I put my son in this when he was 4months, by 5-6 months old he had mastered it. He's favorite game was to play soccer in it. Even once he started crawling he still loved the walker. And he's much safer in the walker then crawling and climbing around. This walker doesn't have as many toys as the others but I found that didn't really matter. He liked the walker because he could explore things around the house, not play with the toys on the walker. These walker was also the only one that he fit in at 4months. The others were just to high, he could reach the floor.

I purchased this walker for my 4 1/2 month old daughter. She holds herself up very well and is definitely ready to get going. It is a very cute walker and you should have seen my daughter's face when she got in. She loved it! Although it is a very low walker, it does the trick for now because she is still young and only 24 inches long. But I figure she can use it for a few months to get around in until she starts crawling and it's only 30 dollars (on sale right now for 25!!) So I think it's great and also it was simple to assemble (always a plus!)

I purchased this walker 5 yrs ago for my daughter and it was one of the best money investments I have ever done. It is such a simple walker, it does it's job. I mainly bought this model because it isn't complex looking like the newer walkers, they are so big and bulky and I just wanted an old fashion traditional like walker that gets the job done. My daughter began using it when she was 9 months and by 10 months she began walking, I strongly beleive that the walker encouraged her to walk on her own, it strengthend her legs enough to try walking on her own, before the walker she never tried. I would recommend this over any other expensive walker. I am now pregnant with my second child and I just saw this walker again and believe me I am going to get it again. For those who complained about the height, it adjust 3 ways and my daughter was one of them tall babies, and believe me she had no problem getting around in it.

I LOVE THIS WALKER. I BOUGHT IT FOR MY 4 MONTH OLD AND SHE LOVES IT. SHE ACTUALLY GETS ENOUGH SPEED TO CHASE AFTER HER SIBLINGS. THE ONLY THING THAT MIGHT GO WRONG IS IF HAIR OR SOMETHING GETS IN THE FRONT WHEELS THEN YOU HAVE TO ORDER NEW ONES. STILL, I WOULDN'T PICK ANOTHER WALKER IN A MILLION YEARS!!!!!

I purchase this walker because of the price in comparison to all the other fancy ones... the best fun ever.... simple, light and of course reasonably priced. the only thing i wish was a little different from this walker is the maximum height, my son is only 6 months but he is very tall (30 inches) and right now he is already to tall for the max height on this walker...

It's not tall enough. I registered for this walker for my daughter and she has absolutely LOVED IT!! I first put her in it a 3 1/2 months old and I have gotten at least three times my "money's worth" out of this toy. My only problem is that now at 9 1/2 months she's to tall to play in it (29 inches) the height does adjust, but the highest setting isn't quite high enough for my long-legged baby girl. I had to put it away because when she tried to push it, she had to drag her feet behind her and actually kept getting them caught under the back bar.
Overall it has been a great toy!! I just wish I could have used it for a couple more months! I would definately recommend! |
