5.0 out of 5 stars It doesnt get any better than this!, March 25, 2011

This review is from: Walkerswood Traditional Jerk Seasoning Hot & Spicy - 10oz (Misc.)
Only for devoted Pepperheads. Walkerswood has something for everybody so move down a scale if you are
allergic to hot.

Bust out the napkins, grab yourself a beer, and buckle your seat belts cause this stuff is a proper authentic
flamefest of Jamaican jerk heat. You can put it on straight, or cut it with a little olive oil, but I've found
it best to marinate chicken or pork tenderloins for at least 24 hours before cooking for optimum results. Its a
little messy cause you really have to rub this stuff in and make sure you turn/shake your marinade bag every
few hour to ensure an even distribution of this wondermous stuff.

If you're not using rubber gloves, make sure you wash your hands and I wouldn't plan on rubbing your eyes or
doing anything else to sensitive body parts for a while, knowhudahmsayin! haw haw

This stuff is the best, followed closely by Grace Jerk Seasoning but Walkerswood doesn't turn your chicken green
like the Grace rub does. 5 Scovies

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Darn Jerk Seasoning Bar None, July 12, 2008
This review is from: Walkerswood Traditional Jerk Seasoning Hot & Spicy - 10oz (Misc.)
This product was recommended to us by a head chef at resort down in Jamaica. My wife and I have been using it ever since. This stuff is great on chicken legs. If you like it spicy then go for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars De Bes Jerk Seasoning ever, July 31, 2010

This is by far the only and best jerk seasoning you will ever want to buy and use. The flavor is right on point bold, spicy, full bodied and does not fail no matter how you use this seasoning. I basically use this on chicken, however, you can use this on some fish and seafood, just be warned your mouth is going to thank you for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!, October 5, 2010
This review is from: Walkerswood Traditional Jerk Seasoning Hot & Spicy - 10oz (Misc.)
I usually make my own jerk seasoning. Saw this and tried it being lazy. It is better than my recipe, which is darn good. I will never, unless I'm showing off be wasting time when I can purchase Walkerswood. It is just like the real thing. Before you eat it, put a couple of Red Stripes in the freezer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Took my ribs to an all new level, July 7, 2011
This review is from: Walkerswood Traditional Jerk Seasoning Hot & Spicy - 10oz (Misc.)
I coated spare ribs with this the night before I smoked them and WOW! Everyone absolutely loved them. I also used it in making some snack sticks and while it was me who made the sticks dry, the flavor from this seasoning still made them great!

5.0 out of 5 stars Try this..., June 10, 2011
This review is from: Walkerswood Traditional Jerk Seasoning Hot & Spicy - 10oz (Misc.)
I tried this for the first time the other day and it's great. I put it on a piece of London broil and sealed it in a baggy overnight. The next day I put it in the broiler (5 min on both sides), then put it in the oven at 350 until it was med-rare. Delicious way to cook a cheap steak.

I often purchase this marinade from Caribbean specialty stores, so it was great to find it on Amazon. I used this marinade as a seasoning for grilled chicken. My family raved so much that I purchased a bottle as a gift for my dad.

Although it is not as spicy as traditional jerk that I have had in Jamaica, it was spicy enough for my family. If you are feeding kids, limit the amount of marinade used to reduce the spice.

5.0 out of 5 stars So Spicy and Delicious!, February 1, 2010

This is by far the best jerk product on the market.
We used it to grill chicken thighs and an entire
chicken and it was so wonderful. I would use very
sparingly if you cannot tolerate real spicy food,
but the blend of jerk season is perfect and adds
a fantastic kick to any meat!

I was peace Corps volunteer in Jamaica outside of Ocho Rios in the eighties. I was using Walkerswood seasoning in Jamaica and i have used it since coming home. It is the real deal. If you want to add to the experience you can sprinkle the pickling sauce below to your chicken when you serve it.
Directions:
place cut carrots, onions and the scotch bonnet peppers (whole, and some sliced) fill a glass jar with equal amounts of the mix a layer of each will do.
Warm a good white vinegar on the stove (make enough to cover the jarred items) pour slowly the vinegar on top of everything, use a slim knife and push small air bubbles out , cover everything with vinegar. Cover and let set for a few months in a cool dark place the longer it sits the stronger it will be. You can start to use it when the carrots have lost their color, you can top it up when you notice it is low.
How to Use: Sprinkle on your fish or chicken after cooking it. Remember, it's NOT put on when you cook, but after.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hot! Hot! Hot! But so good!, October 28, 2011

This review is from: Walkerswood Traditional Jerk Seasoning Hot & Spicy - 10oz (Misc.)
I've been using this seasoning for about 4 years now and I it is a staple in my pantry. When I originally started using it, I used it solo. Now, I prefer to mix it with the Grace mild Jerk to make chicken that's so delicious it put the jerk chicken from my local restaurant to shame. . I've tried mixing the Walkerswood hot and mild together but it's not the same as mixing it with the Grace. Walkerswood is definitely one of the best!
