The feeling of the insoles were not what I was use to (Dr. Scholls gel pads or the shoe cushions) since its completely rubber and suppose to shape your feet a certain way when you walk. To put them in, you have to take out the insoles that your shoes come with in order to put these in so that your feet don't get all squished.

Day 1: Initially when I put on my shoes, it felt sort of hard having replaced what was left of the shoe cushion with this rubber insole. I was worried at first, but I decided to go for it and try it on my 5 hour work shift at the coffee shop in which I stand the entire time. I have flat feet so usually by the end of the shift my feet are in a bit of pain to where I put on slippers when i get home rather than walk bare foot for at least an hour until the pain goes away (by the way my work shoes have Dr. Scholls pads). With the walkfits, there was not pain although, I accidentally used the "massage pads" (which have bumps on them rather than smooth) since I didn't switch out the pad and it was initially on the sole so the balls of my feet did feel a bit roughed up from being rubbed by the bumps but that it easily curable with time as you build a little callus for it just like having to build a callus for your fingers when you learn to play guitar so I didn't mine this initial problem.

Day 2: I used them at the gym and now I know for sure these are a keeper. I usually get shin splints from running (after about 5-10 mins) and a week ago, I went on a brisk hour walk and even felt the pain develop in my shins from that so it really stinks. I went on the treadmill today and ran for about 20 min and power walked on an incline for about 40 minutes and there was no pain! I was just waiting for it to come since it has never failed to leave be before but the pain never came =)

Initially this product feels weird and even uncomfortable since I am not used to the cushion-less feeling but when put to the test it works; even though this is just a two day recap of the experience, I advise you to take at least 2-3 weeks to fully experience and give the soles a chance to see if it makes a different b/c it definitely did for me and luckily gave me results pretty early =)

Thank you amazon for having this product since I will never directly order from an "As seen on TV" company, and thank your for the few reviews that were posted that lead me to give these a shot =)

I was diagnosed with a wickedly painful case of plantar fasciitis, and heel-bone spurs in both feet the summer of 2010, following cancer surgery and cancer treatment. The year before, I had been walking 3-4 miles a day, five days a week and suddenly couldn't take a single step without excruciating pain. (Still believe the cancer treatments compromised my bones.) Anyway, I saw a podiatrist who tried cortisone shots, taped feet, physical therapy, and finally rigid, custom-made orthotics. Nothing helped. And I mean NOTHING! About 3 weeks after I got my custom orthotics (VERY expensive!!) I saw an infomercial for Walk-Fit orthotics and was desperate enough to call and order. I had NEVER ordered from an informercial before and never planned to, so I was surprised it wasn't a hassle in any way. (I don't trust much on T.V!) I received my first Walk-Fit orthotics within a few weeks, and it just took a few days to a week to adjust to them. I have never been without these in any pair of shoes since then! (I went ahead and put myself on the six-month plan after receiving the first pair.) How cheap is $9.95 every six months for something that has saved my feet? I will never understand why custom orthotics manufacturers (or podiatrists!) can't make something with gel in the heel for people with heel spurs! Walk-Fits ARE AUTOMATICALLY made this way!! I can even walk a little bit bare-footed in the house now, though for only short periods of time. Most of the time, I wear my wonderful New Balance walking shoes, or comfy flats ... all with my Walk-Fit orthotics, and they are the best products I have ever bought anywhere ... period! (Btw ... my expensive custom orthotics have been sitting on a closet shelf for three years now. Never going back to those!) I don't know if these work for everyone, but they were (and still are) like a miracle for my hurting size 9 feet.

I got the original Phase4 Orthotics a number of years ago via their infomercial and loved them.

I tried a number of different orthotics, including those $50 Dr. Scholls at their fancy FootMapping Centers. Without support, I have a tendency to wear down the outside of the soles of my shoes. None of them resolved this behavior except for the Phase4.

Once my Phase4's wore out, I went to look to buy another pair, but found that they changed their name to Walkfit. These Walkfit Platinums are the same design, but even better, with the adjustable arch supports and padded heel.

It does take a little bit to get used to them, because they do realign you to "proper" posture. I had some pain in my knees for the first couple days of wearing them, but that subsided and now they are oh-so-comfortable. Manufacturer's suggestion is to wear them for a couple hours the first day, and gradually work it up to wearing them all day. This is probably a good idea for most.

Been using the over the counter type for months, nothing I tried seemed to help the pain in the heels. Purchased these and within a week (using a scale from 1 – 10 and 10 being the worse) the pain went from a 10 to a 3. I’m ordering another pair so I don’t have to swap them from shoes to shoes. Those that say they are uncomfortable know not what having plantar fasciitis is like, more than likely they only think they have it. I had rather put a hand full of marbles in my shoe and walk all day as to put up with one hour of plantar fasciitis. These inserts work! Yeah, they take a little time to get use to, but well worth it. The pain in my legs and hips has also improved since wearing them.

I bought the inserts after I sustained a foot injury from a lot of walking without appropriate arch support. They were painful at first, felt like I was walking on golfballs but after a few weeks they really started to help alleviate the pain. I also tried the Dr. Scholl's computerized custom orthotics but they didn't give me as much support as I wanted. These were a good purchase.

I have been dealing with Morton's Neuromas on both feet (like fibroid tumors that build up on the balls of your feet). I had been using expensive orthotic inserts that included a metatarsal arch support to take the weight off of the ball of my foot. That was moderately successful, but expensive, as the foam cushioning would break down and every 4 or 5 months I had to spend another $50 for a set of supports. Then I remembered an old pair of WalkFits that I had purchased a decade ago, before the neuromas developed, but never really used (they take some getting used to). I tried them, using the lowest arch. What a relief! Within two days I was totally used to the WalkFits, and increased the metatarsal support to a medium. I found that I could walk for MILES without my neuromas acting up and causing pain. So I ordered the newer WalkFit Platinums, and another pair of standard WalkFit inserts. I just love them. Both work equally well, and fit in all my shoes (I stopped wearing high heels years ago, so my "dressy" shoes are still basically flats). These have totally saved me from constant pain in my feet. Wonderful wonderful. Cannot recommend them strongly enough! Great with athletic shoes as well as with normal dress shoes.

I've been wearing WalkFit for 5 years and love them. I kept seeing the Platinum informercial and wanted the upgrade. I surfed the web and found that Lightex sold them for a very good price. The order came in one week. I tried the massaging inserts for a day, but did not feel any invigorating change in my feet. I replaced them with the medium inserts (which I am @ on the originals) and all is GREAT.
Great product & upgrade.

The orthotics seemed to be too high toward the ball of the foot. I felt like I needed support closer to my heel. They did not help my plantar fasciatis of my bone spur.

Don't buy this product. Buy the much better products by "Dr. Scholl's" instead. I purchase this no quality item after watching their TV commercial and went to purchase directly from their web site. Initially I just want to purchase a pair to give it a try. But the web site will offer you all kind of "sweet deal." In the end, I was surprise that I got charged for $88.88 for all sort of junks that supposedly "free" or heavily discounted offers. DON'T fall for their offers. After receiving the products, I was surprised that the product packaging and quality are poor, something that I expect to get from the "Dollar Store." Their shoe pads are extremely uncomfortable. They offer 30 days satisfaction guarantee. But guess what, they only gave 50% back. I also had to pay for the shipping. In the end, I only got 30% back.

I usually don't send reviews but I love Walkfits. I got them after wasting money on podiatrists and other insoles. After a few days of getting used to these, although I saw it on an infomercial and was leary, they actually lived up to what was advertised! These worked great, saving me money. I will buy more because I want them in all my shoes.
