A worthwhile addition to a jazz trombone cd collection,

This is an excellent recording with very talented west coast jazz musicians. Andy Martin is an incredible trombonist, his skills are phenominal. If you are interested in hearing more of him, get your hands on to the Bob Curnow L.A. Big Band plays the music of Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays cd. I was impressed with the other musicians on the album quite a bit as well. All the original compositions are interesting. I recommend this cd highly.

With two phenoms as front men and a swingin' rhythm section, this CD is a must have! Bill Liston is burnin' and one of the most creative tenor players around. Andy Martin has always been one of my favorite improvisers on ANY instrument! He is, in my opinion, the most talented jazz trombonist to come around since Frank Rosolino.
