Walking About Zion: Singing of Christ's Church in the Psalms [Paperback]

Nelson D. Kloosterman (Author)

Available from these sellers.

Book Description

1991
One objective of this study of the Psalms is to underscore the truth that Christ's church was not born on Pentecost, but existed already in the Old Testament among the people of Israel. Dr. Kloosterman highlights the communal aspect of these Psalms in the experience of faith, and demonstrates how the wide range of emotions-from ecstatic jubilation to sickening despair-form the content of the church's singing, even today. In an age of privatized religion, we need to draw near to one another. We need to walk together in a shared faith that comes from the Lord.
