This album ROCKS!,

We took our teenaged daughter and a friend to a Blessid Union concert back in April because we were all fans of their top 40 hit singles, but after the concert we purchased "Walking Off The Buzz." This album rocks with meaning...and a step up in tempo from the first two. I would recommend this CD to any age group...FYI..."Hey Leonardo" Is my least favorite song on the whole album & I must say I do like that song!

This is a cd you can put on repeat and just let it sit there for the rest of the day. I saw these guys in concert, and never before have I seen a band interact with the crowd (general admission of 3000) since Collective Soul. I would suggest Collective Soul as well as this band.

I think this was Blessid Union of souls' best CD, yet. IT had a good sound and you could dance along with many of the songs. The lyrics were great and focused on life. Some songs had sincere messages and others were really funny. THis CD has a lot of variety and everyone should own it.

Right, so I go to the shop and my eyes fall on this CD, "walking off the buzz". I think to myself, hey, didn`t these guys sing that "hey leonardo" song? Man, i really like that song, let`s buy the album..... Right, flash forward. I`ve just listened to the CD once, and i`m like, well, at least I got ONE decent song. Then I play it again, and again and all of a sudden, i`m getting a headache trying to decide which of the songs is my favourite. This CD is amazingly good. It easily has some of my favourite songs of all time on it. It`s just....magical. I love it, ilovitilovitilovit.

This CD has got to win at least 5 or 6 grammy awards!,

This CD is absolutely awesome. I bought it mainly for Hey Leonardo, but the rest of the songs rock too! There isn't a single song on the CD that I don't like. These guys are also Christians, and there's no cussing on the CD. Probably my favorite song on the CD is Stone Glass Window. It wouldn't surprise me if this is their next hit single. If you don't have this CD yet, buy it!!!

The Boys Are Back!!!,

I have been a fan of Blessid Union since their first album.I am fortunate to live in the Cincinnati area and for awhile saw Eliot and C.P. almost daily at my place of employment. So, I was a little biased when Home came out.I am not a big fan of pop music but was thoroughly impressed with the depth and emotion of the songs. The second album, though it had it's high points, just didn't hold my attention ,as much as I wanted to like it. But now,Blessid Union are back with a vengeance! There's really not a bad song on this Cd .I have seen BUOS live several times and they never seemed to capture their live power in the studio until now.The band is rocking! Jeff Pence is much more in the fore ground of the mix than before with some really cool solos thrown in.The rhythm section is solid and driving. And Eliot's awesome voice is in great form. BUOS seem to appeal to people with widely varying musical tastes.I am a Christian/hard rock fan but I love these guys.My wife is a country fan and she loves them.My brother is a metal head and he likes them. Despite what you might have heard to the contrary, their lyrics are not shallow.Eliot is an excellent songwriter. His lyrics offer personal glimpses of himself that few songwriters have conveyed since John Lennon.BUOS have always been a positive band and that shines through on this CD.These guys have done tons of community work here in Cincinnati and donate their time and energy to good causes regularly.Hey Leonardo ,being the single,is the song that catches your attention and gets stuck in your head. The Last Day goes from a typical love song to a new twist at the end.Standing at the Edge of the Earth is a beautiful song.South Hampton Avenue is a study in reality of the American family today. All of the songs have great moments. If you liked Home, buy this.If you have seen BUOS live and haven't heard that energy on a studio album, buy this.If you thought the second album was a little different than what you expected, buy this.If you have never heard BUOS but are looking for a band with a positive attitude and catchy songs delivered by an excellent band, buy this. You'll thank me later.

Buy this CD. That's all I need to say. I know the Leonardo song is catchy and I love it, but this band has even more to offer than just clever love songs. If you have ever been in love or lost a love, you must hear this album. This album has such an HONEST feel. The songs are deep without having to make you sit and wonder "that was cool, but what in the world is he talking about?" These guys are for real. They are not a bunch of "teeny-boppers" who haven't lived. These guys know about what they write about. This is one of the few albums that is fun enough for young people to love and wise enough for adults to relate to and appreciate. After this, you will want their previous albums, "Home" and the self titled CD.

Good soul music good for anytime!,

Blessid union of the souls is a very talented group. You may, like me, originally know them for their mega hit song, "I Believe" and I do believe that these guys are showing no sign of stopping anytime soon. The only complaint I could possibly have with "Walking Off The Buzz" is that it's too short, and because it's so enjoyable to listen to, it goes by that much faster. But the hidden bonus track #12 makes up for it. Some of the top choices you will want to listen to over and over and over again:Hey Leonardo (She Likes Me For Me) Standing At The Edge Of The Earth If She Couldn't Sleep South Hampton Avenue What Have I Got To Lose? Bonus Track #12 ...and the whole CD is incredible! If you don't have this CD yet, I really recommend that you buy it and look forward to their "Singles" CD out Feb. 27! Peace. |
