More About the Author

Myrlia Purcell is an American living in the UK with her British husband and two children. Myrlia enjoys all things creative, and when not teaching at her ballet school or running her celebrity-charity news site, Look To The Stars, she can often be found writing.

Her first children's book, The Walking Christmas Tree, was inspired by the sight of a real Christmas tree pushing its way onto a busy Munich subway train, much to the surprise of the home-bound commuters!

Most anyone who has ever put up a Christmas tree has seen a walking Christmas tree. This book follows one from the tree lot to the living room of one happy family. As it makes its way, the book describes the various reactions of all the shocked, amused, and curious people it passes. The illustrations are witty and expressive, and I smile just thinking about them. The book brings back many wonderful childhood memories of seeing a Christmas tree walking into my home.
All in all it's an entertaining little book for the little ones, with a list of things to look for at the end of the story.
