This review is from: Walking Fingers: The Story of Polio and Those Who Lived With It (Paperback)
Written by people who have been there and done that, this book exposes times of my life I had hidden from myself. It has been refreshing to my heart to remember and deal with past pain and memories from an adult frame of mind. I found myself weeping tears of joy as the memories were refreshed, affirmed and healed.
This is a wonderful book for anyone who has experienced Polio and found themselves in unexplainable pain years later. Also good for loved ones of those who had Polio and now complain of undiagnosed pain. Understanding, compassion, and joy replace a judgmental attitude and bring healing to the home as we read the real life experiences of Post Polio Survivors. I highly recommend this book.
