A walking foot for your sewing machine is an important accessory. The brother walking foot works great. Uses are for quilting and sewing bulky items together. Make sure you buy the correct brand for your machine. I would not try to switch from brother to singer. This is a reasonable price. When you buy them separate from machine they cost more. If you get them in a bundle, jump on it.

Item received was not a Brother brand as advertised, but a generic. Did not fit well.

Despite the fact that this is advertised as a "Brother SA140" "manufactured by Brother" and uses the image from the Brother website, the seller will not provide a Brother part. Rather, I received a cheap copy, which I won't use on my machine. Save yourself the time and shop elsewhere for the real part.

I'm new to quilting. I'm taking a quilting class once a week and was in need of a walking foot. When I bought it, it didn't come with the quilt guide. Being new to the hobby there are a lot of extras to be purchased but this was a great deal. I called a local store that carried it but it was 3 times as much. When I ordered it I did think it was a genuine brother accessory and probably wouldn't have purchased it knowing it wasn't..BUT it fits and works perfectly. Zero complaints! Excellent deal.

Love the walking foot. I tried a Teflon foot before, and did not like it as much. I use it for sewing PUL fabric for diaper covers.

Like other reviews have said, it is not, in fact, a Brother part. I went ahead and gave it a try, and the walking foot broke before I could even finish one lap size quilt.

I never could get this foot to work well. The quilt guide would not fit in the hole, and the foot itself bounced up and down unless I was sewing at a VERY slow rate. I checked repeatedly to see that the foot was attached properly. That was not the problem. It was "cheap", but I did not know what a realistic price for one that worked was when I bought it.

I bought this for my brother embroidery sewing machine. It defiantly does the job this foot is suppose to do, but it only is good for sewing tougher fabrics. I was not able to use some of my "special" stitches that the brother embroidery machine offers with this particular foot. Only for sewing straight stitches. It was worth the price though.

The walking foot is essential to complete a quilting project. I looked at several other sites and visited local stores, the price on Amazon could not be beat. And the BONUS quilt guide just makes quilting that much more fun and easy.
