Book Description

Honey Driver Mysteries December 1, 2008
A Honey Driver Mystery - When hotel owner and police liaison officer Honey Driver accompanies a friend on a ghost walk, the ghosts fail to appear but one of the walkers is later found hanged. The supernatural has nothing to do with the murder, but it is connected to the past: the sinking of the Titanic and the international demand for old artefacts. But does Honey have a ghost of a chance of solving her latest case?

Editorial Reviews

Review

"It's a dark and stormy night for a ghost walk. During the ghost walk on which Bath hotelier Honey Driver accompanies her hotel guest Mary Jane, they meet an American calling herself Lady Templeton-Jones who's found strangled shortly after handing her pocketbook over to Honey and requesting a room in her hotel. As the hotel association's liaison with the police, Honey (A Taste to Die For, 2008, etc.) enjoys a more than professional relationship with sexy cop Steve Doherty. Not surprisingly, she quickly gets involved in the murder. The suspects are legion. There's the tour member involved in an Internet scheme to sell British titles, whose wife's sudden death makes it clear that he's been romancing the tour guide. There's the wealthy Bath resident who owns both the shop where the body was found and also a company that's privy to sensitive information from documents it's supposed to be shredding. Then there's Lady Templeton-Jones's smarmy cousin. It's up to Honey and Steve to weed out the nonstarters and nail the killer before the body count rises out of control. Honey's third is just the thing for cozy-loving Anglophiles" --Kirkus Reviews, 15th October 2008

Honey Driver, owner of the Green River Hotel in Bath, England, and a police liaison officer, takes a ghost walk with a friend. The spirits don't materialize, but one of the walkers is murdered, and Honey is thrust into the thick of the investigation. At the same time, Honey's mother, who has lost her shop, seeks for a new location perhaps closer to Honey's hotel, and Lindsay, Honey's daughter, has a new boyfriend she is keeping secret. Goodhind's third series title (after Something in the Blood and A Taste To Die For) will appeal to fans who enjoy British cozies with engaging characters in the tradition of Veronica Healy and Dorothy Cannell. --Library Journal, 1st November 2008

More About the Author

Honey Driver is a hotelier in the lovely city of Bath who (reluctantly) lands the job of Crime Liaison Officer. She also collects antique underwear, has a senior citizen mother who dresses as though she's just stepped off the catwalk, and a daughter who is actually more capable of being a hotelier than she is.
There's a lot of me in Honey Driver. I really did own a hotel in Bath and was a member of Bath Hotels and Restaurants Association. I make no bones about it, some of the occurrences in the Honey Driver Mysteries really did happen. Even Mary Jane, the professor of the paranormal from California, really did exist.
This series of books wasn't the first I ever wrote. I also write women's sage/romance fiction as Jeannie Johnson. In Germany, writing the Honey Driver mysteries, I'm a best seller as Jean G Goodhind.
I'm published in hard copy as well as ebooks and audio.
